The cost of LASIK depends on a variety of factors, including the quality of the surgeon, the amount of care provided, and the amount of followup allowed, as well as whether or not enhancements are included.
Some centers charge a la carte. So they charge a low price, but do not include Custom treatments, enhancements or long term followup. Some of these centers even performa a bait and switch - where the price is advertised as very low (perhaps $499 or so) but this price is only available to a select few patients (those with minimal prescriptions). The average patients typically pay $1000 to $2000 or more. They also typically charge extra for punctal plugs. And again when enhancements are needed - they often charge additional fees.
Other Centers charge $2000 to $3000 per eye - but provide more comprehensive services with longer followup periods and will typically include enhancements in the price of the surgery.

About $500 per eye for an average doctor with common equipment. A top eye surgeon using the latest technique will run closer to $1500 per eye.

my dad actually does Lasik. my whole family got it for free, except me( i wasn't 21) it sometimes can be 500 per eye for custum lasik. but not very many people are eliegble for that price. it can become more expensive depending on your eyesight, and your location.the prices actually vary from year to year though. so right now it is a little over 1000 per eye. it's closer to 2,000 than it is 1,000 per eye. it's very expesive.

Lasik Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges kall types of surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as all types of surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your eye surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.hope this helps.

It depends on the laser technowledgy you choose, the area of the country you are in, the experience of the surgeon...Many other factors too. Try to find a surgeon with many thousands of surgeries under his belt. If you need help, give me an email.
