i'm sorry to bring this tragedy up. But i was thinking about my teacher that was on the plane that hit the pentagon. Worst day of my life. i was woke up to the news that day. my mom was sitting in the living couch watching the news. Tears running down her face, i came and sat next to her. Soon tears ran down my face. It was horrible.

Later i found out that my teacher ( Mrs. Edwards) was on one of the planes. she was a really cool teacher. It was just a bad day for our school.

my question is did you have a loved one or knew someone that was on one of those 4 planes? Or someone that worked in the twin towers that was killed?

R.I.P. Mrs. Edwards

No - but we were living in Virginia and I was traveling back and forth to DC a lot. I know someone who worked for the electric company up there - he was driving by the Pentagon when the plane hit and he had debris in his truck from that plane crash. What is strange is my father retired from the Pentagon and as a child I wanted so badly to work there but we moved to Florida when I was going in high school. All I can think now is maybe the reason I didn't get my dream is because if I had worked there, I could have been hit. I don't know. It was a tragedy and I felt compelled to answer you to give you my sympathy. I'm so sorry for your loss. Bringing this up isn't a bad thing. We CAN'T forget what happened that day. It would be a worse tragedy to forget what happened on 9/11 and like you and others who lost people, you all need to know NONE OF US will ever forget and you will forever be in our hearts.

I lived in NY during that time and I could see the smoke comin from my school. There were many people that i knew that knew people in the towers, there was a friend that knew a person who was suppose to work that day and didnt go into work and every single person in her office passed away that day. We will forever be tied to the people in those towers, in those planes, and in the pentagon. We must always remember this and live life to the absolute full BECAUSE we are still here, and they are not. And we should NOT take our life for granted!

I am sorry about that. My condolences.

Many of us didn't know anyone on the planes or the towers, but whoever I spoke to felt as if it happened to one of theirs - I for one, felt like a zombie the whole day and had tears whenever I heard someone looking for their loved ones on Tv or even when one of the newscasters (was it Katie Couric?) cried. I also felt sad when they played John Lennon's Imagine on the FM channel.

Later ofcourse, I got to know one of my freinds had lost her brother in law from one of the towers - ironically they were from Pakistan and he had left behind 2 very small kids and his wife.

Evil knows no religion.

i am sorry for your loss. with tragedieso f this scope, people across the world feel connected and in joint mourning. i've prayed for your teacher and her loved ones..i will keep you all in my thoughts. again, sorry for your loss. you might want to consider therapy to work through your grieving process..these people are trained professionals to help you understand and work through things exactly like this. i understand it will not change what happened, nor should you forget what a wonderful person this Mrs. Edwards was to you, but it will help you focus on the good that she gave you and all that she was, instead of her tragic death.

unfortuanatly Sept 11 , 2001 affects me different, even though so many people died on that day and many people were hurt it is a happy day for me. My son turned 8 on that day. i have to look at the good in this day for my son. i didnt have anyone that i knew on those plans but i did have fellow humans on that plane so yes i knew everyone and it hurt to see everything i saw and felt that day. i m sorry you had to loose a cool teacher, but think about it she still lives in you, and thats the only way you can keep her alive.

I live right outside of NYC and while I was lucky enough not to lose a loved one but I did have a few co workers and friends lose their loved ones.Standing on rooftop and seeing the twin towers burning brought me to tears. It's something I hope we never experience again.God bless all of our men and women that are serving in our armed forces to protect our freedom..............we must never forget.
