Excellent question.
Jesus did not need to be baptized for remission of sins, but He did get baptized because baptism is the way to get into the kingdom of heaven, and to give us an example to follow. He showed that He was completely obedient to the commandments of the Father.

Yes. Everyone is, and will be a sinner. That does not mean that everyone isn't going to be the best they can be. Jesus Christ could have not been a perfect man, he had to have done at least one thing wrong. Being a sinner is not a bad thing either. Being a sinner is mierly a small flaw that everyone has. You pray to him that you can be forgiven, become whole again. Everyone needs baptizing, no matter what level of 'power' or religious persons. Espetually Jesus Christ.

Here's what the Bible says about Jesus' baptism:
Matthew 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it (allow it) to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. .
You can look up this verse in different translations online, if you don't understand it.
I would prefer to follow someone with a better 'track record' than my own, when it comes to eternity! Maybe you could get some books from the library about who Jesus really was, instead of the whitewashed versions you mention. There have been some doozies! Phillip Yancy wrote a book called The Jesus I Never Knew, that is very interesting, and really puts an understandable, human perspective on who He was. Also, if you haven't read the New Testament for yourself, that would be helpful, too. Try the book of John. (Not I John, or II John, or III John.)

Oy the answers here. But kudos to acts2:38girl, opinionated, Art Bee, maerylyn, and Contemplative Chanteuse for "getting it".
No, Jesus was the spotless Lamb of God without sin.
Hebrews 4:15
For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
He was baptized because baptism is an act of righteousness.
Matthew 3:13-15
Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?”
But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.”
Baptism has nothing to do with forgiveness of sins, else Jesus would have baptized the paralytic in Matthew 9:2, or said, "Sorry, no can do." to the thief on the cross in Luke 23:42.

To fulfill all righteousness. Even though He had no sin, He came to earth in part to show that obedience is possible. He submitted Himself to all the things He asks us to submit to.
Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:14-16
The baptism of John is different from the baptism in Acts, which is a symbol of Jesus' death, burial and resurrection. They were both for remission of sins: Luke 3:3, Acts 2:38.
See Acts 19:1-5.

Jesus is not a sinner He is the son of God but to fufill all righteousness and show how things should be done he allowed himself to be baptized. Its shows that your old life is over sins forgiven and forgotten and you are starting a new life with God through Christ.

No He was not a sinner the Bible states that He was perfect. However He was the prime example of how we should live, He was this example when He too was baptized.

The baptism of Jesus served as an identification of Jesus as God's Son and to announce the beginning of His earthly ministry.
Matthew 3:13-17 records the baptism of Jesus this way: "Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. But John tried to deter him, saying, 'I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?' Jesus replied, 'Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.' Then John consented. As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, 'This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.'"
Please note that Jesus did not need the Holy Spirit. However, He wanted to be an example to us, so He emptied Himself and relied upon the power of the Holy Spirit.

Being baptized does not save you, Jesus did it as an example to us to follow. If you want imperfect examples in the bible, try David, a man after Gods own heart.

Jesus was a human before anything else. He was born with a sinner nature and although he lived his life free of sin, he understood that his purpose was to accept the Holy Spirit in order to be one with God.

John ch.1, vs 29-34
29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! 30 This is He of whom I said, ‘After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ 31 I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water.”
32 And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him. 33 I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ 34 And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”
