What sources can I use to apply for a grant that will cover leisure travel?

I heard about this girl who tried to do this, so she could afford a trip to Ireland. But I don't know if she got the grant. If it's possible to get travel money in this way, what organizations or companies offer grants for travel?

You will never get a grant for leisure travel. I have travelled around the world, and the only grants that either I or my friends have gotten have been for educational or archeological research.

You can't get something for nothing.

good luck on that one... what possible reason would any one have for giving you a grant to take a vacation???
