People do it because they're lazy and rude. They think their need for convenience overrides the law and respect for others.
Sometimes, don't you just want to ram your grocery cart into their cars?

Unfortunately there are people who couldn't care less about the rules or laws that govern everyday actions. They aren't necessarily lazy, though I'm sure that some are. Too many people today think that the rules do not apply to them, that they can do whatever they want with no consequences. You'll see these same people parking in handicapped spots. I think they should tow the cars to impound. No warnings. No tickets first. If you park in a fire lane or handicapped spot you'll get your ticket in the mail along with your court date where you'll pay a hefty fine, towing and impound fees to get your car back.

Unfortunately, there are many lazy, rude people in the world who will do things like this. However, they will learn their lesson when they get trapped in that store while it fills up with choking, blinding smoke from a fire, and the fire rescue team takes 5 minutes longer to get a hoseline in there because they had to GO AROUND that car.... but it won't matter, because they will just gripe and complain about how long it takes for help to arrive.... it's called "entitlement mentality."

In my opinion, the quickest way to become a complete asshole is to park in the handicapped spaces and leave your car running while you go in and order your latte. If you're that late for work that you can't park in a legal parking spot, then you shouldn't be taking the time to get a beverage. You can stand to get it later.

I am special dizzamit! I deserve a parking spot in front of each and every store I patronize! Especially the stores I did not I know I was going to patronize.
Now who are you again? Why are you asking about my car parked in the street?
Go away child - you bother me.

I agree. Unless there is some medical reason you can't walk the extra few steps from the parking lot to the front door, then I'll see you in court when you pay your fine.

Wow! You must live in my town. There is no reason for people to do that...and they have no shame, either. Like they DESERVE that spot!
