Ok I have the same problem, what I do is wash and blow dry. However i get a really good conditioner ALL the time(it really makes a difference). Then I'll put a bit of light oil on my hair before the blowdry. Then I'll blow dry in sections, because in smaller sections you can usually get it straighter. Then I'll flat iron it in small sections also, getting as close as possible to the scalp ( to make sure it's all straight!) Then I style!!! My hair is usually bouncy, straight and shiny!

I'm going to assume from your avatar pic that you are black. If so, is your hair relaxed? If it is, it is time for a new relaxer. Make sure your are combing some of the relaxer through to thoroughly straighten your hair. If your hair is not relaxed and is simply naturally curly like mine. Why not wear it curly? I use some great products by missjesse. Curly pudding and curly buttercreame. Stretches the curls and keeps hair frizz-free all day! If you want to keep your hair straight, why can't you straighten everytime you wash it? Thats what people with curly hair do to straighten it. You really shouldn't be washing your hair more than once a week anyway. I straighten my hair with a 1 inch ceramic flat iron. It was expensive but worth it. use a silcone based products like vonte silk effects on your hair before straightening to further protect your hair from the heat. this stuff looks like it will be greasy and leave your hair heavy..but it wont! Also deep condition once a week with acavado and olive oil. The chi and the maxiglide are some good brands for ceramic irons that can be purchased at bedbathand beyond. The cheaper ones are crap for your hair and break very easily, so spend the extra cash!

Try applying a shampoo and conditioner that straightens the hair. I did not believe in these until I tried Matrix Sleek Look shampoo and conditioner. These are the best. When your hair is still damp, try using a little bit of Kiehl's Straightening lotion to it and then iron your hair with a Chi Ceramic iron.

I have very natural curly hair. it is also very thick. I have learned over time to accept it. heres some things you could try. after a shower. slightly hold the towel over your hair and dont scrunch or rub dry, just pat it with a towel. apply a creamy styling product to hair. spray gel also works very well. apply all over rubbing it through. i like vidal sassoon and naturals. mousse is best. finish with a extra hold hairspray. the best tip: keep your fingers out of your hair. touching it too often makes hair very thick and frizzy. i also never straighten my hair as it is very bad for the hair shafts and damages hair over time. another good product to have is leave in conditioner. apply it after a shower or bath and leave it in. keeps hair moist and frizz free. hope that works for you!

They have products to help you with that. Ask your hair dresser or they might suggest just getting it straightened
