Yeah sure why not. It al depends on how many times its been frozen, defrosted and then frozen again. If none, then your good.

It SHOULD be OK, as freezing food puts it in a kind of suspend animation, but there is always an exception to the rule.
For example when food is put in a bag or cartoon etc the air around it can get trapped to, and this air can taint the taste of the food if the food is old, or it doesn't defrost properly.
The best thing to do is ensure that you rotate the food you by, making sure you eat the old food first, then food never gets out of date.
Also but fresh meat if you can afford it, the quality really is that much better.

as long as it went in the freezer before it expired, its ok. That's the point of the freezer... If you put it in the freezer 2 days before the expiry date then after you defrost it you have to eat it within 2 days
And NEVER re freeze defrosted food.

General rule is you should eat frozen meat within 6 months it should be o.k. as long as it hasn't been in there longer than that.
