I have a small up start cleaning service i deal with a lot of real estate professionals and I want to look ready for work and professional at the same time. Typically i just work in clogs, jeans and a Tshirt. In a situation like this should i wear such things to meetings? or would a polo shirt and kackis be better?

Definitely wear nicer clothes for a meeting, it shows respect for the people you are working with/for. When you are cleaning, who cares...but meetings are more formal and important.
Perhaps if the service gets bigger(more employees) you could get some shirts printed or embroidered with the company name/logo. Everyone would look more professional and perhaps earn more $$$$. Still keep the jeans at work though.

If you really want to appear professional and impress prospective clients, invest $20 or $30 on a uniform shirt with your business name printed on it to attend meetings or visit a client. Wear khakis or casual slacks and some clean shoes. Referrals are the bread & butter of any service oriented business.
