Peanut butter. I kid you not! The oils in the peanut butter will make the gum loosen. It's gonna take a while, be patient. First rub the gum with some ice to harden it. Cover the entire area above and below the wad of gum and wait a few minutes. Try removing the hair strand by strand from the gum.

If it's a huge wad of gum, or this doesn't work, you may have to cut the hair.

Hi,
i have heard of both the
peanut butter remedy and the ice cube remedy.
Peanut Butter: put it on the area and the gum is supposed to slide off the hair. Or,
Ice Cube: freeze the gum area with the ice cube, and the gum will become brittle, allowing the gum to break away from the hair.
Good Luck, i hope one of our many tips works for you....

Freeze the hair, i.e. use ice cubes in a bag (plastic or waterproof) and allow the gum to freeze completely. Once the gum is frozen you should be able to take the gum off the hair easily.

Usually you have to cut the chunk of hair off that the gum is stuck in. It really sucks. Did you get gum stuck in your hair?

I've found peanut butter is the easiest way because it breaks down the gum and is very easy to wash out.

There is a product that they sell at Walmart called GOO-GONE and I used it on my son's shirt when he got gum all over it. Just applied it, let it sit for a bit, and washed as usual. Came right out! I would think it would work on hair too. Good luck.

peanut butter will melt the gum right out of your hair. just try not to use chunky cuz it's hard to get the chunks out of your hair even when the gum is gone.

Well I know if you want to get it out of clothes, they suggest putting the item of clothing in the freezer for a few hours, but not sure that's the right advice for a human being! However, perhaps you could rub it with an ice-cube - once it's frozen, it's easier to pick out. What I want to know, is how it got there?!
