I am at work today. A co-worker came up to me and ask me to research what could cause a stain on the skin. She showed me her hip and there is a large bruise like stain on her skin. She said her doctor told her that it could be an allergic reaction to ibuprofen. She thinks it is something else. Could anyone give me an idea that i can research on this for her. It is about the size of her palm. It looks like a bruise but it doesnt hurt. It is dark in color. Any thoughts?

It certainly sounds like a bruise.

FYI, not all bruises hurt. When you hit something, and get a bruise from it, the pain comes from hitting something, not necessarily from the blood that creates the bruise.

For example, my daughter had her ACL replaced in her knee about a year-and-a-half ago. She didn't like the way the prescribed vicadin made her feel, so she asked the doctor if it would be okay for her to just take the ibuprofen that she had previously been prescribed. He said okay, so she discontinued the vicadin. However, she ended up taking too much of it, which essentially caused some internal bleeding, and she ended up with a giant bruise on her ankle. The doctor gave her a new prescription, for something else that didn't make her feel funny, and the bruise went away in just a couple of days.

Could be just a bruise or something. Maybe a sunburn? Not likely, but it's a suggestion.

Anxiety does now not intent dermis issues - however you might have a metabolic dilemma that's inflicting each otherwise you might have 2 separate issues. You have to see a Dr to have the dermis hindrance identified.
