The concentration of civil and religious people was in that area and i suppose He knew He could make the biggest impact at that place.
You don't have to help everyone to save everyone. His life was lived as an example of how to help others and do as the Lord says. He wasn't out to touch every single person's life individually but to touch some peoples lives that they may go out and do the same for their fellow man, letting his good teachings spread throughout the world from his "one small geographic area"
But who I am to speak in the name of God? just an idea

Well, unfortunately the monorail and items like that weren't around 2000 years ago. Plus, it only took a few hundred years for his teachings to spread all through out Europe, North Africa, and parts of Asia. Within 1500 years His words were spread to everywhere in the world, and now 2000 years since then, His teachings are the largest religion in the world. I think he did a good job.

Jesus, the physical body isn't what was sent for you to receive in you heart and mind. It was what He had to say. In the spirit of His words lies the keys to being saved. When you except His words and live by them, then you are saved. The word got passed along through his disciples when He initiated the Great Commission: "Go out into all the world and preach the Gospel." The rest of the world was made totally aware of Him and what He did for them, when they passed on everything that He had to say.

He didn't need to go to every corner of Earth, as no other person who came to preach religion did either. Moses, Ibrahim, Muhammad were also in a small geographic area.
They taught others, and others spread the word. and on and on. of all religious leaders he is the most well known of them all, it just these these because of the mid east conflict, people are hearing more and more about Muhammad, but that was not the case before.
For those of you who don't believe in God, and all who came to serve him and spread the word. Stay out of, and reply for things who know, NOTHING.

Recall that Jesus is God, the 2nd person of the Trinity. God is a mystery so we don't know all of his reasons except what he reveals thru his words, scripture and his Church. He chose first to create the universe and all that is in it but was not obligated to do so. Man sinned in the Garden and thus lost the opportunity they had to live with him. They could not recreate this opportunity themselves. He choose to identify with the Jewish people and to save them from slavery. When they finally would not respond to his goals for them, he sent his only Son to join with them and pursuade them to believe in him. When he died for our sins this was the sacrifice needed to restore our opportunity (if we choose) to be with God. The small area was where his choosen people had settled was the area choosen for Jesus to be because this was the Jewish areas. He came to save the Jews but was rejected by them and so God elected to allow all persons to be saved.

If my tv memory from my youth doesn't fail me, that's not entirely true.
First, let's understand that in Jesus's day, there were about 4 million people in the entire planet, probably alot more just in your home state today.
I saw on one of those Jesus proof movies that showed without ever seeing a white man, most tribes had a history of being visted by one.
Now, of course, Jesus wasn't white...but I take it that was the color of their spirits. And he taught similar Christian lessons.

He was sent to save the Jews. They rejected Him, that opened the door to all. There is a little more to this, but I gave you the shortest answer I could.

Think about it...If someone 'appeared' today saying he was sent by God...Would anyone believe them? No...Its a load of balls...people in the past were easily influenced as they had less knowledge of the world than we do today!

I never met Jesus....yet he did die for my sins. He saved me even though he died thousands of years before I was born.
When he was alive he did a lot of traveling. But most people came to see him.
