Yes, there is a slightly better caloric burn when you exercise 3 times a day versus one. Every time you exercise, you stoke your metabolism. So instead of one burn, you'll get 3.

The one bummer about the 3 short bouts of exercise is that they are probably less intense than one 30 minute bout. For instance, you aren't able to work on your endurance and you probably aren't able to thoroughly work the muscle in such a short time.

Once again, there is a slight benefit to working out with 3 ten minute intervals versus one 30 minute interval. But I'd urge you to not rely on such tactics.

3 10 minute intervals for sure.. (common knowlegde among ppl who are serious about work-outs..)
