All you have to do is relax your diaphragm. Just take a lot of slow, deep breaths and concentrate on that. Holding your breath can also help sometimes.

get some room temperature water and drink it upside down it may sound silly but it helps me everytime....but dont use a straw. it has something to do with the air intake that gets rid of the hiccups.

This always works for me.....

Drink out of the other side of a half of a glass of water. Now, I know what you are thinking. How to drink from the other side of the glass. Well, I don't mean just rotate the glass, and drink from the other side. No, what I mean is, hold the half full glass of water normally, and instead of drinking from the side of the glass closest to you, drink from the other side of it. Yes, you will have to bend way over, hold your nose, and drink a couple of sips upside-down. You kind of have to stick your chin inside the glass to make it work.

It sounds crazy, and looks funny, but it has never failed me yet.

Close your eyes, visualize the word "think" in pink neon letters, blinking faster and faster and faster until it's constant. Concentrate on this and your hiccups will go away. Works for me every time, no idea why

You should take a couple of leaves of Tulasi and some sugar and quickly after eating them drink water. If you don't have Tulsi ( see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulasi ) take just sugar. It always works!

I just learned it this weekend!! You have someone hold your ears close, close your eyes and put your head back and take three big gulps of water. I can not believed that it worked!!

One of these ALWAYS works with my grandkids. Let a small teaspoon of sugar dissolve slowly in your mouth and swallow, or eat one teaspoon of peanut butter. These work every time. Try it and good luck!
