A little bit more than 3 years ago, I met this amazing woman, I will call her T, and everything was going great. But after a while our love didn't seem so strong, and it was because we both were really busy and hardly ever talked. I still loved her, but I got into a relationship with someone else. This relationship was no where near sexual,it was just emotional. She was there to just comfort me. T found out and flipped out, which is understandable. It took a while for me to get out of a relationship with the other girl, it was like losing a best friend, but i had to do it. So i just stopped talking to her completely. I've messed up alot...I've lied alot. And now T is saying that she is done with me. But I know she still loves me. I know that I broke her trust. But since then I've changed. I love this girl. More than anything. I really disappointed myself and her. I can't live without her. Shes the one. Shes my everything. I want her. How do I gain that trust back?

Try this experiment. Take a glass , break it ,then try glue it back together. It may look something like a glass but it will never be as strong as it once was.I would throw away a broken glass.

You may have already done this but if not it's worth a try. try sitting her down and talking to her calmly and just explain what that other girl was there for. Don't go to indepth because you might make her more upset. She is very hurt right now, I have been in the same situation and I'm still trying to get out. Just be honest with her and she should understand.

time, time is the only way to gain her trust. it wont happen tomorrow , it wont happen in a month, it will take time, yes she still loves you but you lost her trust and hurt her very much by seeing someone else for emotional support, when you should have gone to her. you have to give it time. if she loves you like you say then she will come back to you on her own, she needs her space and time too. but be there for her when she needs you.good luck.

Its damned hard, you need to sit her down and tell her exactly how you feel. She will either take you back on a probatioary basis, or tell you to go away. If she loves you she willl want to take you back. This will be a good test of her love for you.

You gain that trust back one day at a time, and it is slow going, if you think there is a chance of you hurting her again then let it go now. Good Luck!!
