My soul has been saved by Jesus's death on the cross. It has come to my attention that on Charles Darwin's death bed he recanted his story of evolution. Apparently he was mislead by Satan but he saw the light, o glory!

Buildings can not build themselves, and so the earth can not have been formed 4.5 billion years ago by itself, and after reading dr dino im convinced the earth is not an accident,

Well you praise jesus for me one time!

To the Christians: Is this what you expect me to do? I'm sorry, Charles Darwin observed evolution in nature, and so do I.

It appears all we are seeing is one group saying God made the human race, and another saying we are a product of evolution. The idea of theistic evolution is one I considered, but must reject, as will anyone who studies Christianity long enough and properly. Since I observe evolution, I must reject Christianity.

I'm sorry if I won't see you in your Christian heaven. I will pray to my own God for your soul.

"The idea of theistic evolution is one I considered, but must reject, as will anyone who studies Christianity long enough and properly."

I'd suppose I would need to know how to study Christianity "properly"--something I've never done well. All I have ever done in my life is study my own belief in a benevolent higher power and its effect on my personal happiness. My personal empirical results tend to show the existence of something... the details and scemantics of which I don't need to worry about. I have also discovered that the closer I successfully live my life in a way recommended by those of faith, the happier I am in the here and now.

Of course, studying "properly" may mean "being a brow-beating, Bible-thumping ***-hole". I'd agree with that.

I'd definitely say that there are serious problems both with common conceptions of evolution, as well as Christianity. However, I'm not going to throw the baby out with the bathwater because internet people are still re-hashing the Scopes Monkey Trial online. I'm going to avoid sweating the small stuff, have faith in the Big Guy, and try to be nice... if only just for today.

You are missing the whole point! I really feel sorry for you and for your soul. You may mock us and God, but in the end when you come before God you will learn that He is real and that you were very wrong. Here's something you should consider. If you are right and I am wrong then I am losing nothing by believing in God. But if I am right and you are wrong then you have lost everything. Read John 3:3-6 and Ephesians 2:8-9

This is the first I have read of your questions and answers, but apparently, there has been much discussion and debate from/about you!

My question is this: You say you will pray to your own God. What do you need of a God if you believe in evolution? Would not your God be equal to you? Or is it that you believe your God is more highly evolved? I am really trying to understand where you are coming from-if you truly believe evolution, I see no God in that picture. Or at least a God who would have the power to answer your prayer-seriously-please enlighten me.

"A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still." - German Proverb.

In the end, what you believe is your responsibility. You have to forge it out of the fire of your own soul. "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" Philippians 2:12.

Other people can answer questions to the best of their ability and tell you what they believe, but someone else's beliefs will not effectively do the necessary work in your life.

To be life-changing, a belief system has to be intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually integrated. That takes time and work and study. It must come from the heart and the mind.

Accept it or reject it. It is your will. It is your life. I respect that it is your decision.

I want to discuss this further. How was it that you came to the conclusion that you must reject Christianity all together because of evolution? Man, you really had me fooled. I thought maybe you had re-committed your life to the true God and were going to start batting for the other guys. Way to get me going. I was about to seriously praise Jesus for you. Darn it!

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Ah, the internet spotlight. How she shines on the pathetically unlaid and unimportant. Not that I disagree at all. I just find you distasteful as a human being. There are more important balls in the air, Mr. Wedge-man. You stay here on your little internet stage while the rest of us go tend to what matters more than constant, endless bickering on the same damn topic.

Who is trying to convert you rev. kip? or did you convert him? It's likely u did. Your stage is very dim and dark. Some christians don't try to convert those who are already lost and their minds are made up. It's a waste of time while others who are truly seeking or searching will hear the good news of Jesus Christ they will be converted. Nobody is trying to talk you out of going to Hell!
