Sometimes I feel that we are in very different stages of our lives, I'm about to leave for college in a city thats 4 hours away from him, I really don't want to hurt him if I can't find the time to really commit to him in school. I was just wondering if anyone thinks this realtionship is possible. I mean, he's already been where I have been, being much older than me. I really do love him and he says he loves me but I'm not sure if it's enough..what do I have to do to keep this realtionship among the other priorites in my life? I really dont want to lose him but I really dont want to hurt him at the same time. Should I just end it now?

Tell him that you are in a very important time of your life and that you will always care for him! Go to School and put all of the efforts on your education, if you meet someone else that is great, if you don't so be it! You are way to young to worry about keeping a relationship in tact...your career and family is #1,

It sounds like you already know what you want to do: end it. You acknowledge that you're at different stages, and it sounds like you're ready for and excited about the myriad possibilities that college will present. If you don't want to hurt him, be absolutely honest with him. It might still hurt, but it will hurt less than telling him you're still with him when you're really not. Further, if you break things off, you don't have to feel guilty when you meet some cute guy at college.

Life is often funny. You might gravitate back to your current guy after college, or you might stay with him off and on during college. But if not, you'll have at least been honest.

Go with your dreams...go to school!!! If he loves you, he'll continue this relationship with you no matter what decisions you make. If he's not willing to support positive choices you're making to better your life, then he's too selfish to be with someone such as yourself. Don't worry, if it's meant to be, it'll happen. If not, explore your options with all the new college guys. Good luck!
