just WHAT do you call OTHER mexicans who do NOT want amnesty for ILLEGALS,and do NOT want a "guest worker" program??? You CAN NOT call them "racist" ,because they are ALL a part of the SAME race!!!

I know MANY mexicans that are ASHAMED of the way the ILLEGALS are acting!!!! They say they are EMBARASSED by illegals marching in the streets, and DEMANDING "rights"!!!

So what DEROGATORY name are you going to call THEM??? Keep in mind, these are people who came here LEGALLY,have their OWN social security number (NOT someone ELSE'S), they work, pay taxes, OBEY the laws, and want to be an AMERICAN!!!!!!!

'Racist' clearly is just an insult they use to freeze discussion. No one wants to be racist. If they can make people who aren't thinking in racist terms afraid to enter into the discussion because someone might call them that name, that is the most effective thing they can do.

Clearly logic isn't on their side, so rational arguments can't work.

I am an Mexican American, born and raised in TX. I don't understand why some mexican americans are getting upset and ashamed hearing that the immigrants are standing up to what they think is right! I would help the immigrants if I had an oppurtunity because THEY ARE MY RACE just because I'm legal and they're not; doesn't mean I can treat them like animals! My parents came from Mexico, and my father obtained citizenship a few years later after I was born. Some immigrants do actually plan on working for their citizenship. I don't get why some mexican americans get upset; personally I think they are ASHAMED on their own race. That is so sad.

I believe that America is a free country. If you aren't an American citizen or pay any taxes then I do agree that you don't have the same opportunities for 'rights' as those who live and work legally in America. But at the same time, expediting and judging these people isn't the best approach either. I'm not racist or prejudice because that just leads to anxiety and hatred within yourself. Congratulations in taking a stand, you're respected.

I have no problem with those against illegal immigration.

I call ppl racist who stereo type; "they are ALL on welfare, they ALL do this or that, I call those racist who judge individuals with out knowing them. ppl who are derogatory to another because of skin color.

I know not all are saints and as I've said before the ones that are illegal and has committed murder, any kind of sex assault, Identity theft or any major crime should do their time and then be deported.

Ones on welfare CITIZENS or NOT should get a limited time to receive benefits and forced to work. If it shows that their having more babies is just a way to keep getting benefits then they should be cut off, that goes for WHITE, BLACK, BROWN, YELLOW or GREEN!

Their are illegals that are here to work hard and make a better life for themselves and their children.
Their are those that have children born here that didn't have them to be an "anchor baby"
Those are the ones who should receive AMNESTY!!!

Not ALL illegals are BAD, but that's what makes you racist when you stereo type everyONE of them!!!

I know I'm going to get bashed by my own people. sometimes I'm one of them. There are times that I am ashamed of how my people act and behave. I have read an answer from someone with a list of things Mexicans do example have loud parties without caring about the neighbors or throwing soiled diapers in the streets...I keep my mouth shut, because I know there's some truth to it. And I have to admit I tend to hang out more with people who are not ethnic and I realize how bad that is but I have to look out for myself too. Society can be very judgmental and they associate you with who you're hanging out with. I don't speak Spanish, i have never learned it. My parents have taught me to be an American meaning speak English, use proper words, and get my education. They feel that if I act, speak and think like an American, my chances of making it big in this country would be greater. Thank God for my parents and I'm glad I listened. I have a degree in economics. I have a wonderful husband. I have a managerial position with a big company. I am truly free. And if other people would bash me and ask me if I think I am better than them...my answer is YES.

i will call them racists as well. u can be racist against ur own kind u idiot. racism doesn't mean u have to b racist against someone other than ur own race, but usually ppl are. so i would call these legal mexicans racists and bigots and i would be ashamed to call them paisanos. i would say they r unos hijos de la ching@d@. I am ashamed of fellow Americans who accuse Mexicans of doing all the wrong in this country. what about the generalizations and false statements that Mexicans legal/illegal r facing now .

In that context, I would wear the word 'racist' as a badge of honor. Those who casually throw the word around know that it is a highly charged word and will get a response. Of course it has no real meaning in this arguement. It is essentially the word used for everyone who happens to have an alternative point of view. Anyone who has half a brain realizes its a throw away term (in this case) and ignores them. I've tried to have a dialog and it goes to name calling right away. That's okay, we can pass laws without the help of illegals input.

Do you check people's green card before you engage in conversation with them? It's a lot easier to assume, especially when race is involved, that the person is illegal, not to mention, after 911, Mexicans were being confused for Middle Easterners. I just think that we need to concentrate on all criminals, not just hard working Mexican illegals

The argument of individuals who label others as racist simply because they don't want to be blanketed with a overflow of illegal aliens is simply a red-haring. Illegal is simply illegal. Just call it what it is; and don't attempt to pretty it up. I wonder where was the mind set of the ILLEGAL ALIENS when they were in their home country? Why didn't they march and protest in their home countries? Why show courage now?

Racist, sexist, homophobe, crazy.....these words have no meaning when uttered by liberals. The only reason they are said is an attempt to shut down debate over their sinister marxist agenda. They can be safely ignored as most people are on to them these days.

BTW, the whole point of what the liberals are doing is to bring in as many criminals as possible to try and destabilize our country. They are hoping that balkanization will lead to violence and that they can take over in the chaos.

Liberals are truly evil and disgusting.
