Yeah of course, God made nature in such a way that it can pretty much take care of itself. Because it is His design, it is perfect.

Over the centuries many groups have recognized an aspect of the true God and created a religion or deity around this aspect of Him. One of the recognitions by pagans centuries ago was the feminine nature of God. Although he is referred to in the masculine in the Bible, God is both male and female. This is hard to understand because we picture Him as a physical person, but He is a Spirit and therefore gender is irrelevant. Mother Nature is a recognition of this side of God as lifegiver and creator. Since woman has historically been associated with these concepts the ancients chose to view the god of nature as female, hence the modern reference to Mother Nature. Mother Nature is, in fact, nothing more than an aspect of the one God of the Bible, Elohim, Yahweh, Jesus Christ. So I give the Lord credit for the beauty of creation and the wonder it inspires. In this way we Christians are crediting what you refer to as Mother Nature, we have just seen that she is actually an aspect of the one true Creator as described above.

Why do you want us to admit to something that isn't real? If there really were a Mother Nature (which I don't believe) then she would be one of God's creations as well. But since there is no such things as Mother Nature this is a moot point. John 3:3-6 and Ephesians 2:8-9

Honey, I completely agree with you, but evangelizing your beliefs wont do any good.
Christians believe that Mother Nature is God and the Earth can take care of itself. We're simply here to take advantage of her. Oh, and the kicker is, if the environment get too bad, Jesus will come down from the sky and save us all. Ugh.
Sorry, but i'd rather take care of something just in case some divine being DOESN'T fall out of the sky to fix everything.
Blessed Be!

Mother Nature is not divine in herself, but the Lord alone is Divine. It is therefore more proper to thank the Creator for the created. Within the Christian noosphere (realm of knowledge), Mother Nature is a literary person only, not an actual entity.

I don't know if you would consider me stubborn or not but mother nature is just another term to explain the physical reality of the world around us as it manifests itself in obvious ways. God is the creator of all and that includes the beauty of flowers, birds, vegetation, rain, snow, mountains, and on and on. We tend to call this mother nature but in reality it is God in His creations.

we live in a culture whose religions are sky based, ie: we look to the heavens when praying, god is up above, etc...In Africa, and many other places around the world, their religions are earth based, where god exixts on earth, in the soil, waters, etc... The sky based religions are male dominated, and the earth are female dominated. In a culture where we destroy our natural resources, 'raping' the land, de-valuing small family farms, simply tossing aside our earth, we look to the skies to save us from ourselves. In cultures where they value farming, preservation of land, etc...we see a respect for god through worship and sacrifice, pleading with god for rain, and bountiful crops. It's too bad that we cannot do both, and will probably ultimately be our demise. And She will be very upset with us.
