I have lost 35 lbs over the last several months. Normal weight loss is slow. You can lose it quick but the problem is your body will go into defense mode and will try to shutdown you weight loss. You can start exercising and it will help lose weight faster. I know people count calories or drink slim fast, The main part of the weight loss is when you lose the weight do not start to go back to your old eating habits. If you do a low calorie intake and one you lose what you want , you can increase the calories to a point to maintain. The way I lost my weight is that I cut out some things and did some proportion on others. I cut out some unnecessary calories. For breakfast I cut out the sausage sandwich for cerial. For lunch, I kept about the same food choices, can food, and when I would change up with sandwich food. I saved dinner for my big meal and I ate normal food. The different is that for dinner I ate a smaller portion. I also cut out pop for diet pop. I tried to do some walking when I could but did not really make it a priority( parking a little father away, trying to exercise, cut out what I can. I use to eat late at night and now I do not do that as much. As far as food, try to get things that is has low fat content. A normal person eats about 60 fat grams(see side panel of food container), so eat less than 60 or 60 grams. You will find that you are probably eating over that amount.....

There's nothing like being underweight & trying to gain to make most people roll their eyes! I understand what you're going through.

I went through a stage of struggling to maintain weight & it was hard! I ate everything I could get my hands on, and I ate all day and all night. Those that knew me quickly learned I was neither anorexic nor bolemic.

A professional told me to load up on proteins, to eat as many egg yolks as I could stomach.

Try reading "Eat Right For Your Blood Type". I don't adhere to the principles strictly, but it did answer some questions for me & I no longer have a weight problem.

Good luck!

Concentrate on consuming foods that are high in calories. Peanut butter is great for small servings with lots of calories and good nutrition. Snacking on trail mix and granola throughout the day is helpful. Milkshakes are other high calorie foods. The key is to avoid stuffing yourself at meals, rather graze on high calorie foods throughout the day. Some people just metabolize food very efficiently.

One of my friends used to be an anorexic, and when she had to start gaining weight back from being underweight, the doctor told her to do things like put mayonnaise on her sandwiches, butter her bread or toast, those sort of things.

Yes you can eat everything you like to eat and include high protein drinks in between meals. The sort body builders drink.
Eat eggs, drink milk, eat meat, fish, chicken and vegetables, salads, and potatoes, pasta or rice with meals.

my son and my daughter both were actually underweight no matter how much they ate. it was a little weird sooo i decided to let them drink one or two slim fast a day and they are tasty. i like the chocolate - corse when i drank them it was to lose weight. but anyway, it was good to know they were getting their nutrition and we didn't worried about their weight. now they are 15 and 18 and are just the right size.

Don't worry about being underweight unless you got that way by overexercising, not eating, or other eating disorder-related things.

Everyone is different. I weigh less than most girls in my class, and I'm not trying. It could be that you don't have much muscle, boob, or yoou have light bones.

Unless you're severely underweight and/or there's a medical problem, don't worry about it. It's much harder to lose if you gain too much. If you're young just give yourself some time for your body to fill out.
