Long distance relationships are very hard but can be good if you are both willing to work at it and make sacrifices. You must also have a lot of trust in each other.

Well how far away are you? Someone could live in PA, which is right over the border for me and I could be at his house in 5 minutes. So yes, that would work.

But if you live in NY and he lives in CA and you plan to see each other once a year, then no.

It can be really difficult... the last time I tried that, it fell apart after 8 months. Best wishs, though.
