I don't know, unless they just don't care. It drives me crazy! Maybe they can't spell, or somehting, but get a dictionary to keep handy! Great question, by the way!!

It's because the quality of education is on a fast downhill slide.There was a time, fourty or fifty years or more ago when students had to be able to read the newspaper at speaking speed and be able to explain the meaning by the time they were in fifth grade.
The idiot box changed all of that. Now only the ones who care to appear intelligent can spell and use proper language. The others who are planning on picking up shopping carts at Wam-mart don't care about spelling.

LOL. Because there are alot of children that vivsit the site and most of them can't spell. Also, alot of people type fast and don't bother to make sure they have words spelled correctly before they submit their answer or question.

Not only for that word...
Some Offensive and Vulgar words are censored, blocked by the Yahoo.. Not only here.....
this is not the site forum to use such words.. bcoz people come here to get and give some usefull informations all over the country.. There are many kids (like me, Heheh ) among here.. so, this is the right thing to do by Yahoo....

AND THERE IS SPELL CHECK!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT IS UP WITH THAT? I have just gotten so I don't answer their questions if they can't take the time to spell simple words correctly.
What if we all answered their posts by rewriting their questions with the spelling corrections so that they could learn from their mistakes!

It is not the top priority when it is something as simple as writing on Yahoo! Answers. If it was an important document, then worry about it. Unless you can't spell so badly that it is like giberish.

it is not that no one cant spell that but when you type you either type fast and not pay attention to the words misspelled and next some people cannot put that word on there because they don't want a violation so they may do some abbreviating or something

2pts and that if i make a spelling mistake most of the time people know what im talking about- plus i type kinda fast so if my fingers hit the wrong key- nobody reallly carse

I think most of it is typos . I guess they just don't use the spell check either. They just answer a question and move onto the next one.

Seems like they have bad foundation in their English grammar. And had not bothered to check their spelling even with spell-check available to them.
