It all depends on the countries that you intend to visit. Some round-the-world (RTW) groups do not fly to certain places while others allow a certain amount of mileage within a year while yet others limit the number of continents depending on the amount that you're willing to pay.

Check out the Star Alliance website: http://www.staralliance.com/star_alliance/star/frame/main_10.html

Hey - Yes Star Alliance is one option
Since so much has been given about that will not go more into it

2) the other option is One World in which ritish Airways - American Airlines - Catahy Pachfi -Quantgas and many more are in that category
British Airways co-operates with other airlines forming different types of alliances, which enable us to extend the number of destinations and benefits we can offer you.
When you fly with these airlines, you will enjoy similar levels of service and the high standards that you expect from British Airways, either on the ground or in the air.

When you book on ba.com, or via any other booking method, you will be advised if you will be travelling with another airline.

Please click here for information on the oneworld alliance.

For information on our British Airways Franchise airlines please click here .

Codeshare:
We operate a number of 'codeshare' routes with other airlines which means that you travel with another independent airline with whom we work closely. Wherever possible we codeshare with airlines who are able to provide a level of service that closely matches our own.

The flight has two codes - the British Airways flight number, as appears on your ticket, and the flight number of the other airline operating the service.

British Airways Executive Club members receive a number of benefits when travelling with alliance or partner airlines, including the opportunity to collect and spend mileage.
