Are you friends with his friend? If you weren't doing anything inappropriate, then it could just be your self-concious identifying a person you'd spent time with recently.

In my life I have found dreams to always be trying to tell you something. Pay attention to them. Easy to see that this dream suggests that you might have feelings for his friend you are not facing, or the friend could just represent the fact that there is someone else out there who is meant for you. I doubt it meant anything. They are just dreams. Your mind might have mixed him up with who you like and tried to make it seem amazingly awesome. Just the wrong person in you dream, nothing to worry about.
