This is a tough choice for me because I often bring something to microwave and our break room is not set up for a social environment. Meanwhile, buying is much more social, but much more expensive while being far less healthy. Anyhow, to make it even more complicated, I am on a diet, so the tendency is for me to bring instead of buy... I wish the buy options were better...

I go through spurts. I will bring a cheap lunch from home like canned pasta or lean pockets for weeks or even months. But then I will get so sick of eating the same things that I'll go out for lunch for the next month or two.

If you want to save money then buy groceries and bring your lunch, it has saved me a ton of money in college.

This is a question I ask myself everyday! I work in NYC, where there are hundreds of great places to eat, but it really takes a toll on my wallet. If I could just muster up the willpower to make a sandwich in the morning, it would save so much money! :-p

It depends on the quality of the food they are selling. If the weather is hot, you might not want to risk bringing food that could spoil.
