Okay 2 yrs ago I took this scholarship exam in my school, and i unexpectedly passed. Now all the scholars are put into one section and once a yr. they hold some type of sholar-sponcor meeting. Our class advisor told us to buy something for our sponcors like a thank you card... But Im open for other suggestions on what to buy for a guy who has everything.

He's really really nice =) and funny too eventhough hes at his 40's

The best gift for you to show him is your good grades in school.

A physical gift could include something like a good pen, fruit, or especially for a woman, flowers. Usually, a well-written, nicely appointed and personal thank you card would be accepted better than most physical things. They sponsored a scholar, show them that it was worth the investment. If you are in the arts, compose something (music or a taping, a picture, a carving) that is representative of what you learned. Think small. Think authentically personal. Most of all, let it represent that you are appreciatively thinking of them for their support. (Hint, if you could afford something expensive, then you didn't need the money of their scholarship. They won't like cheap, but they didn't donate that money in order to get a pretty vase) Your imagination and some polish in presenting it (careful layout, color selection, etc.) will impress them far, far more than expensive chocolates and such.

How about a gift card to Borders or Barnes and Noble?

p.s. people in their 40s can be nice and funny too!

Try a pen set or money clip.
