For instance, I've got lots of work piled up that I need to get done but I still end up asking questions on Yahoo! answers!!! Or I end up making a timetable or schedule. But actually its wasting my time because I never manage to stay on schedule. I'm a web designer, I'm 27 and I work from home. Sometimes I get depressed also, which also makes me postpone my work another day. There's work from last year that I haven't completed!

you lack discipline. I was the same way. I do things the minute they get in my hand, now. People think I'm ambitious, but if I procrsatinate, then I have time to think up all the reasons I can't get it done. By just doing things in the order that they come in, I avoid think time, which is also wasted time. You need to teach yourself some discipline. Try forcing yourself to get up everyday with an alrm. Then, get dressed, ever though you work from home. Set your office up separetely from the rest of your house. Work a set number of hours for the day. At the end of the day, close the door to your office, not to return again until the next day. That way you won't confuse work time with home time.

Sounds like you are overwhelmed. Sounds to me like you could use some organization! Try to set goals for yourself of getting a certain amount done by lunch and work on only that. If you get that done, take an hour break for lunch and relax and answer questions on Yahoo! Answers or do something FUN, then set another goal for the rest of the day. It feels really good to accomplish goals.

You don't have to make them all fancy and write them up, just jot it down and get to work. Make it an obtainable goal, but one that will challenge you too.

Good luck!

Perhaps you are disinterested in your work because it doesn't satisfy your need for a fun rewarding experience or its difficulty causes distraction and a form of severe procrastination.

Depression is anger inverted towards oneself. If you aren't happy with a certain aspect of your life, then change it for the better at Square One (who you are, why you do this and that, what you need, etc.) . Everyone starts at the bottom, not all return.

Start with working from an area designated for work. Also you may want to only take work that you find interesting.

I have the same problem. I found if I just go ahead(no matter how much I hate doing it) and do what I have to do and get it over with, I feel much better after. You really have to push yourself though and stick with it until it's completed.

I don't know...I find myself doing the same thing. You know, adults can be diagnosed with ADD. I sometimes think that is my problem!
