I understand that the New Testament came out because of the incomprehensible writings of the Old Testament.
Why did God have the Old Testament written then, if man couldn't comprehend it?
I'm SO confused!

Yes, you are very confused. The New Testament did not come out because the Old Testament was incomprehensible. It is in fact very comprehensible.

You need to find a good Bible study group, first off. You need to buy a Strongs Concordance to help with understanding words in the Bible. Most people don't understand the meanings are not current day meanings (often), they are translated or transliterated from Greek, Aramaic and Hebrew. You also should look into a helpful Bible study guide or companion.

Access Dr. Charles Stanley's website, I believe he has helpful Bible study guides. He is at www.intouch.com (pretty sure that's the site name).

The Old Testament is to confirm the New Testament. All of the things found in the Old Testament either testify to the suffering of Jews and the salvation they've gained by obeying God, the prophecy of Christ and the impact upon His ancestors, or to guide the lost in a time before Christ while showing God's faithfulness. The Old Testament is a very legitimate piece of literature for the average believer. It is the past of the church where the New Testament is the present and the future of the church.

Nowhere does it say that the Old Testament was too much for man to comprehend. The Old Testament, in fact, points to many events that were fulfilled in the New Testament. They are not contradictory, they are complimentary.

There was no "Old Testament" until long after the myths it contains were "written" by unknown people at unknown times.

The bible as we know it was invented in the 4th century by a pagan Roman Emperor and it was not available to the general public. So, if "God" intended for the "word of God" to be used by humans, it was not available to average humans until around the 15th century. And, even then, most people were illiterate and the bible was expensive, so most people still didn't have it available.

The bible and bible based religions are based on lies & nonsense.

For the land of Israel lies empty and broken after your attacks, but the LORD will restore its honor and power again. Shields flash red in the sunlight! The attack begins! See their scarlet uniforms! Watch as their glittering chariots move into position, with a forest of spears waving above them. The chariots race recklessly along the streets and through the squares, swift as lightning, flickering like torches. The king shouts to his officers; they stumble in their haste, rushing to the walls to set up their defenses. But too late! The river gates are open! The enemy has entered! The palace is about to collapse! Nineveh's exile has been decreed, and all the servant girls mourn its capture. Listen to them moan like doves; watch them beat their breasts in sorrow. Nineveh is like a leaking water reservoir! The people are slipping away. "Stop, stop!" someone shouts, but the people just keep on running. Loot the silver! Plunder the gold! There seems no end to Nineveh's many treasures – its vast, uncounted wealth. Soon the city is an empty shambles, stripped of its wealth. Hearts melt in horror, and knees shake. The people stand aghast, their faces pale and trembling. (Nahum 2:2-10 NLT)

It's not too much to comprehend. There are parallels between the two. They are actually written in two different languages, is all. The Hebrew and Greek Scriptures.

"...so it was with Torah.

She has a body; the commandments of Torah,

called emobiement of Torah.

This body is clothed in graments: stories of the world.

Fools of the world look only at that garment, the story of Torah;

they know nothing more.

They do not look at what is under that garment.

Those who know more do not look at the garment,

but rather at the body under that garment...."

[zohar]

Embodiment of Torah: The essential teachings, in this case the commandments, of the Written Torah.

Stories of this world: Various commandments of the Torah are clothed and conveyed in story.

Do not look at the garment.......Those who look not at the garment, but at the body beneath the garment, penetrate the narrative layer and appreciate the commandments of the Torah.
