Maybe there is, maybe there isn't.

The important thing to remember is that no-one knows and no-one has ever known. When people say they have been told stuff by god, they are either insane or lying. When someone says definatively that "Yes, God exists." that person is a fool or a liar. They don't know. It's not a matter of opinion. They don't know. The same is true when someone says "No, God does not exist." They don't know that.

God may, or may not exist. Liars most certainly do exist, they love religion and always have done. I think they probably invented it.

The answer to this depends very strongly on what you mean by the noun 'God'.

Are there things in the universe more powerful than humans? Of course. Any star is much more powerful.

Are there things in the universe more intelligent than humans? We don't know, but probably there either are or have been.

Is there such a thing as a supernatural? No, it is a self-contradictory concept.

Was there a cause for the universe? Perhaps not, but even if there was, it did not have to be an *intelligent, conscious cause*. In fact, it is unlikely that the cause had those characteristics. Again, such a cause could not be supernatural.

If you define the universe as 'God', then certainly 'God' exists, but the universe as a whole is not a personal deity that many want to believe in.

Is there an underlying force that guides the universe? Yes, if you consider the laws of physics to be such, no, otherwise.

In any case, there is no 'God' that would have any of the characteristics most religious people believe in.

BARBER: “I don't believe that God exists.”

CUSTOMER: “Why do you say that?”

BARBER: “Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things."

The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt. The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber:

CUSTOMER: "You know what? Barbers do not exist."

BARBER: "How can you say that? I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!"

CUSTOMER: "No! Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside."

BARBER: "Ah, but barbers DO exist! That's what happens when people do not come to me."

CUSTOMER: "Exactly! That's the point! God, DOES exist! That's what happens when people do not go to Him and don't look to Him for help. That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."

If you think God exists, send this to other people

If you think God does not exist, delete it!

No one has proven there is a god or not. It is, at the moment, a point of view. I personally do not think there is a god, but wish I did believe in one. If the Bible is a factual document and that everything it says is true (which is a massive assumption) the chances of God existing is almost 80%. However, if you do not take the bible as fact, then it is reduced greatly.

All the time there is growing evidence that the bible is not a historically factual book, so it looks like the mathematical chances of a god existing are reduced, but are certainly not zero.

Yes, but don't believe religion, because that's man made, have faith in God, but forget religion, if you check out the bible, and other holy books, you will see clearly how man has changed them so man can gain, profit, and control the people of the world, the church being the worst of all.
Faith in God is what you need, he will not let you, but you will get people saying why is there war, why is there suffering, this is not down to God this is our doing why should God interfere, why should we expect him to cover up and help us for our mistakes, the problem then comes up, the non believers all turn round and say there is no God, because they can't take on the responsibility of their own mistakes.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and it's mans nature to disagree on every single subject in the world. I notice that when man can't explain something he comes up with a theory---that's why he can't explain why out of all the planets, Earth is the only one that can sustain life. If God came down here and slapped you in the face most of you would say "that's some sort of trick". You came from somewhere and it certainly wasn't from an ape. If we had evolved from apes would apes still be here? Wouldn't they all be human by now? You won't be happy until Judgement Day and then you'll whine like a baby as you're tossed into the lake of fire. The devil will get his share of souls---do you want to wait until then to say "Oh yes, now I believe" Well I don't have to wait until then, I believe in God, Jesus and The Holy Ghost.

No biether is there a santa claus, tooth fairy or puff the magic dragon... Its just a story cooked up based around a couple events no different to making a story set in WW2 to control dumb people who happen to be in the majority. With guilt, fear and ignorance thinking they are doing good.

Well, I talk to him most days and he's talked to me from time to time - in a whole variety of ways.
If you really want an answer, he'll give you one. But if you're just looking at the dirty window and not through it at the view, you should find plenty of reasons not to believe.

if you want to believe there is i don't see the harm you do anybody, as long as you don't push it on other people, and the same for non believers
And by the way, Earth has life because we are the correct distance from the sun to have water, too close and it dries up, too far away and its ice!
