The former #2 general in Saddam's air force states that six weeks before the invasion, The Iraqi WMDs were flown into Syria aboard hollowed out commercial jets. Is he lying, or is it possible that some of the world's most proficient intelligence services were actually right?

I'm looking for some answers from the "Bush lied about the WMDs" crowd.

Why don't you read the answer above you, Question!? Are you calling him a liar, too?

They DID catch this, yep. People like you just refuse to believe them.

You "know" what the media tells you, Question!. And FYI, Wikipedia is not exactly a reliable source, since just about anyone can write an article. At least This guy was actually there.

I have no doubt that in fact he is telling the truth.
It is FACT that Saddam indeed had WMD's and people who say he didn't have them are ignoring the facts, and are generally just anti-Bush liberals..cranking out more spin and lies to villianize Bush.
Any country that assists this type of thing should be held accountable for their actions.
Until murderous dictators and terrorist groups have no place to hide they will exist.

Perhaps you should remember that the #2 guy in the Air Force for Iraq also says that he at no time had anything to do with any of the attrocities that Saddam had carried out with the Iraq Air Force, so his reliability is somewhat suspect to begin with. It is very unlikely that this would have been possible with the interference from Uday and Kussay, to say the least. I cannot say whether he is lying or telling the truth, however, there are certain incentives for him to say that the intelligence was correct.

For one thing, another Iraq general had stated that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction, and during interrogation he was accidentally smothered to death. This general claims that there were WMD's which were smuggled out of the country, and not only is he still alive, he is free and allowed to roam anywhere he likes and he has published a book that is making him a lot of money.

Again, this is not saying that the general in question is definitely lying, or that he is definitely telling the truth, but his background story is very suspect, and he seems to have been released based on his agreeing with a policy statement. Living is better than dying.

You must be kidding, right?

Only a retard would believe that terrible lie. With all the satellite imagery that the US government has of Iraq, do you really believe that such an operation would have been possible without the main world governments noticing? Do you really believe it's possible to move WMDs that easily, in such short time, without anybody noticing?

I'm not buying this. If anything, this is a desperate attempt of the US government to prepare the ground for a further Syrian invasion (alongside with Iran, the only two non-puppet governments left in the Middle East - and mind you I don't sympathise with them) and to justify the Iraqui invasion at the same time.

Again, show us some actual, concrete evidence of this, and this time make sure it's not fabricated (unlike the pre-iraq war "WMDs report", and the infamous 1991 "dead babies" hoax).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit: I won't call him a liar, since I don't know him, but I can certainly tell you that I don't trust him as a source.
As an Argentinian that knows people that lost their loved ones during our US-backed 1976-83 military dictatorship, I'm fully aware of the hypocritical and imperialist nature of the US foreign policy, and I certainly don't trust it.

After all, we are talking about a government that in the 1960's was willing to engage in terrorism against it's own people just to justify an invasion to Cuba.
If you don't believe me, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Northwoods
the Operation Northwoods, which is actually a proven CIA plan.

Edit 2: I'm giving links to factual encyclopedias and proven, verifyable data.... where are your sources?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit 3: I "know" what I've read in encyclopedias, and what I read in different media sources from different parts of the world. (Unlike you, I don't trust everything I see on FauxNews, I like to look for diversity of opinions).
I don't think it's necessary for me to add anything else. The very rational answers that two persons provided below are more than enough.
Why don't you try to counter them with facts and evidence? Oh, that's right, you don't have any evidence of what you are saying.
Iraq didn't have any commercial jets, and has not had good relations, neither with Iran nor with Syria since the 1970's. Furthermore, there is considerable material gain for this "iraqui airforce general" if he agrees with the US official storyline.
Try to use your mind, it's damn common sense.

He's telling the truth. Now lets continue our crusade and attack Syria next and kill more innocent civilians. After that Iran should have refused to stop enriching, so we'll hit them next.

The Middle East is ours!! Mwahahahahahahaha!

My only question is, in order to believe this, is why didn't the world's most proficient intelligence service catch this?

who are those two former generals, what are their names, cause this will uncover this big lay.
iraq never had any commercial jet since 1991.since all his aircrafts are still in iran, jordan, and tunisia.the second lae is that iraq was not allowed to fly any aircraft due to the no flying zone.thirdly, iraq was never in good terms with the syriyan government since 1979.syria had supplied iran with the scude missiles that hit baghdad during the iraq-iran war,and closed the oil pipe to its port of banyas.so how could iraq trust syria and send it its WMD.
unfortunatly lots of people seem to be brainless.they belive everything without any reasoning.

I am ashamed that the first thing that the American people think is that the government, the military, and intelligence services lie to them but Michal Moore speaks nothing but the truth.

(it does not bother me as much that an Argentinean is skeptic of us, people should be skeptic of foreign governments)

How do you know that guy wasn't beaten, tortured and coerced into saying that? Not that I believe that that's what happened but
Rummy isn't above a little torture to get what he wants.

As for 'eye witnesses", that dude could be lying.

I saw actual satellite intelligence photos of this happening while I was in the military.

You will not see this on CNN although they were made aware of it because it is not conducive to their cause.

Good luck getting any liberals to believe you either.

Sad isn't it?
