ok ...i think many dont know more than what they heard ..and thats all ...

first if all .... what the meaning of the word " Islam "
as language it came from the word " Salam " and thats word means PEACE ... so islam means Be Peacfull ...

now what Islam called for ....

islam called to be close to God/Allah ... by doing the good things for ur self and others and the life ... and believe thats God/Allah is the only saver for us ....

now for the word "Jihad" i saw many ppl they dont know what the meaning of Jihad ...

So Jihad , as word in language , came from the word "JUHD" ... and thats word means TO WORK HARD ... so "JIHAD " means do ur best for the things u do ...

yes its means too TO FIGHT , but NOT means thats to fight and kill any one ( and thats the wrong idea most have ) ...

so it means fight ( WORK HARD )for God/Allah , ur self , ur familly , ur country , the life , the nature , and world ..etc...

and here the fight word means as do ur best and work hard for it ....so now after u know what the meaning of it , i will give some exemples here ...

JIHAD FOR God/Allah ...
thats means work hard for ur self to be good one and do what ur religion called for peace and good things ...what ever u where muslim christian or what ever ur religion were ... ( and as we know all the sky religions called for same thing ... if u dont know thats read about each religion and u will know ) ...

JIHAD FOR UR SELF ....
means all good things to be colse to God/Allah , as islam and our prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him ) called us as muslims to do ...
and means work hard and fight to have the best EDUCATIONS and educated ur self with the knowledge and have the higher degrees ... ( and thats need Jihad which means u must work hard to have thats high degrees )..

as our Qur'an and our prophet asked us too ... and there saying as many for our prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) , he says ..
" Otlob Al-el'am Lao Fe Al Seyn " and thats means " ask for knowledge even if u need to go to China " ...

and here i want say thats islam is not just religion for religist actions ..but it for all the sides of life ....

work for ur self means too .. to have the best look and the good clothes and take care of ur self ... as our prophet said ...
" Allah Jameel , Wa Uhab Aljamal " which means " Allah / God so beautiful , and he like the beauty "

and he said ... " Inna Al-Allah Uhab Ann Yara Athera Ne'matehe Alla Abdyh " ...which means GOD/Allah like to see what he gave us from blessing and boons using by his salves ( man serf )...

JIHAD FOR UR FAMILY ...
thats u should work hard to have good live for ur family .. ur old mother and father , ur kids ur wife , ur sister , ur brother .. any one u take care for them .. by find job and work and have good mony in good ways to have thats good life for them...
( and thats for the WOMEN whom can work too , bcs islam allow for women to educated her self and work as the man , and not diffrents between men and women .. and i know many dont know thats ..and just think islam with the man ..and thats not true ) ...

means thats what i said above and includ here FIGHT AND KILL WHOM ATTACK YOU ...

and here i mean attack you ... so if one came to ur home or ur land and took it from u ..islam ask us to fight for thats and back ur land thats took from u ....( AND I THINK ANY COUNTRY WOULD DO THATS OR WHAT ???? )

for as i said many times here ... 11/9 islam and our prophet didnt asked us to do thats ... and whom did thats they are not msulims even thye have thats name and they will go to hill ...bcs what they did . againest what sialm asked us ... and be sure they did thats by won thoughts ... and for political issues ...no more no less ...

and just ur media wanted using the islam name ...just to make hate for islam and muslims ..and be sure most of them thye have ideas what i said above ....

I'm an American. I think most Americans believe that Muslims are like people everywhere. Most of them are nice people, but a few are fanatics.

My personal belief is that, because of Islam's history of military conquest, kidnapping, and extreme punishment of criminals, Muslim fanatics are violent. If Islam is the "religion of peace," as we here in America are told by our President and others, then why haven't peaceful Muslims risen up against the terrorists who are defaming their religion? I don't understand that.

When American soldiers abused prisoners at Abu Gahrib, they were tried and convicted of crimes. Some of them are in jail now and others are waiting for trial.

I looks like American soldiers killed 24 civilians in Hadditha. This is heartbreaking for Americans! If the investigation shows that this is what happened, these soldiers will be tried and convicted. They will probably receive life sentences.

When Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini issued a fatwa to kill Salaman Rushdie for writing a novel, other Imams and Ayatollahs failed to denounce Khomeni. Why didn't the average Muslim oppose him? If they love peace, why didn't they fight Kohmeni's hatred?

Since fatwas to kill people are acceptable to Muslims, the terrorists could be eliminated by several prominent Imams and Ayatollahs issuing fatwas (1) telling Muslims that sheltering or otherwise aiding terrorists was a sin and (2) telling Muslims to kill terrorists and those who shelter or aid them.

If Muslims love peace, why do they allow hatred and terrorists to live among them?

I don't think All of Islam hates. Just the Fanatics. And they're not all terrorists. But, I think, some of you have to realize how much of Islam in the media is thrown at us. If this was done to you on a constant basis about Christians based on what a few of the Fanatics in that religion have done, you would end up thinking they are all like that.
Take a look around at this site. Most of those who don't agree with Christianity and don't like Christians are usually complaining about the Fanatics in that group. But they end up saying "All Christians" and think they are being fair in their judgement.

I don't believe that at all their are zealot's in every religion just as their are people in all religions that believe we should be one world with one people ..in my perfect world their isn't violence or hate its a world where we can love, understand and respect the religion of everyone no matter what they chose to believe.

Because the Koran tells them to be. It tells them of Jihad...a fight to death of either them or their ememies. People like Saddam Hussein re-inforce Jihad.
