Do not go in late July or August!! It is way too hot and in the middle of tourist season.

Go in May or September. Less tourists, cooler, and great flowers.

Depends what you want, and your climate tastes.

Winter (November - March) is mildly cold, usually about 45 degrees F in the day and 30 F at night. Mt. Etna will have snow.

Spring (March 20 to May) It will be warming up but lots of allergies in that area if you suffer from that. A little rain but not much temps around 65-80 in the day and 40-65 at night.

Summer (June - Sept) Real hot like in the 100s and 80s at night. just too hot, but Mt. Etna and beaches will be packed.

Autumn, (Oct-nov) lots of rain and colder, not a good time to go...

I would reccomend spring time like around May, it will be in the 80s and nice. The beaches will not be as crowded, and all the tourist villages like Taormina lipri and cefalu will not be so crowded as in June 15 to august.

If you want to ski but do nothing else go in February.

Spring, late March to late April. The almond trees will be blooming, and they are gorgeous! Late spring to early summer is nice as well, the orange groves perfume the air about that time.
