ISLAM
The religion of Islam is the acceptance of and obedience to the teachings of God which He revealed to His last prophet, Muhammad .

Some Basic Islamic Beliefs
1) Belief in God:

Muslims believe in one, unique, incomparable God, Who has no son nor partner, and that none has the right to be worshipped but Him alone. He is the true God, and every other deity is false. He has the most magnificent names and sublime perfect attributes. No one shares His divinity, nor His attributes. In the Quran, God describes Himself:

Say, “He is God, the One. God, to Whom the creatures turn for their needs. He begets not, nor was He begotten, and there is none like Him.” (Quran, 112:1-4)

Chapter 112 of the Quran written in Arabic calligraphy

Chapter 112 of the Quran written in Arabic calligraphy.

No one has the right to be invoked, supplicated, prayed to, or shown any act of worship, but God alone.

God alone is the Almighty, the Creator, the Sovereign, and the Sustainer of everything in the whole universe. He manages all affairs. He stands in need of none of His creatures, and all His creatures depend on Him for all that they need. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing, and the All-Knowing. In a perfect manner, His knowledge encompasses all things, the open and the secret, and the public and the private. He knows what has happened, what will happen, and how it will happen. No affair occurs in the whole world except by His will. Whatever He wills is, and whatever He does not will is not and will never be. His will is above the will of all the creatures. He has power over all things, and He is able to do everything. He is the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and the Most Beneficent. In one of the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad , we are told that God is more merciful to His creatures than a mother to her child.1 God is far removed from injustice and tyranny. He is All-Wise in all of His actions and decrees. If someone wants something from God, he or she can ask God directly without asking anyone else to intercede with God for him or her.

God is not Jesus, and Jesus is not God.2 Even Jesus himself rejected this. God has said in the Quran:

Indeed, they have disbelieved who have said, “God is the Messiah (Jesus), son of Mary.” The Messiah said, “Children of Israel, worship God, my Lord and your Lord. Whoever associates partners in worship with God, then God has forbidden Paradise for him, and his home is the Fire (Hell). For the wrongdoers,3 there will be no helpers.” (Quran, 5:72)

God is not a trinity. God has said in the Quran:

Indeed, they disbelieve who say, “God is the third of three (in a trinity),” when there is no god but one God. If they desist not from what they say, truly, a painful punishment will befall the disbelievers among them. Would they not rather repent to God and ask His forgiveness? For God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. The Messiah (Jesus), son of Mary, was no more than a messenger... (Quran, 5:73-75)

Islam rejects that God rested on the seventh day of the creation, that He wrestled with one of His angels, that He is an envious plotter against mankind, or that He is incarnate in any human being. Islam also rejects the attribution of any human form to God. All of these are considered blasphemous. God is the Exalted. He is far removed from every imperfection. He never becomes weary. He does not become drowsy nor does he sleep.

The Arabic word Allah means God (the one and only true God who created the whole universe). This word Allah is a name for God, which is used by Arabic speakers, both Arab Muslims and Arab Christians. This word cannot be used to designate anything other than the one true God. The Arabic word Allah occurs in the Quran about 2700 times. In Aramaic, a language related closely to Arabic and the language that Jesus habitually spoke,4 God is also referred to as Allah.
2) Belief in the Angels:

Muslims believe in the existence of the angels and that they are honored creatures. The angels worship God alone, obey Him, and act only by His command. Among the angels is Gabriel, who brought down the Quran to Muhammad .
3) Belief in God’s Revealed Books:

Muslims believe that God revealed books to His messengers as proof for mankind and as guidance for them. Among these books is the Quran, which God revealed to the Prophet Muhammad . God has guaranteed the Quran’s protection from any corruption or distortion. God has said:

Indeed, We have sent down the Quran, and surely We will guard it (from corruption). (Quran, 15:9)
4) Belief in the Prophets and Messengers of God:

Muslims believe in the prophets and messengers of God, starting with Adam, including Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and Jesus (peace be upon them). But God’s final message to man, a reconfirmation of the eternal message, was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad . Muslims believe that Muhammad is the last prophet sent by God, as God has said:

Muhammad is not the father of any one of your men, but he is the Messenger of God and the last of the prophets... (Quran, 33:40)

Muslims believe that all the prophets and messengers were created human beings who had none of the divine qualities of God.
5) Belief in the Day of Judgment:

Muslims believe in the Day of Judgment (the Day of Resurrection) when all people will be resurrected for God’s judgment according to their beliefs and deeds.
6) Belief in Al-Qadar:

Muslims believe in Al-Qadar, which is Divine Predestination, but this belief in Divine Predestination does not mean that human beings do not have freewill. Rather, Muslims believe that God has given human beings freewill. This means that they can choose right or wrong and that they are responsible for their choices.

The belief in Divine Predestination includes belief in four things: 1) God knows everything. He knows what has happened and what will happen. 2) God has recorded all that has happened and all that will happen. 3) Whatever God wills to happen happens, and whatever He wills not to happen does not happen. 4) God is the Creator of everything.

I am a Catholic(as if my name doesnt tell that) I hold all christian religion and Islam as ways to heaven and that no matter which one you choose if you believe and follow and live to rules of your faith you have choosen you will be saved. my views may not match someone else but i dont not punish them nor engage in arguments(doesnt mean they wont or dont or havent). I respect everyone's believes and i think you dont nesecarily have to go to church instead if you believe in One true God and follow the rules set by the Bible, Torah, or Quran(hope i spelt this last one right) you will be saved. I think Buddisht also go to Heaven because they ma have been raised to belief in Buddism but buddism is more of a way of life then any thing so I think God will have mercy for the buddist who live very good life. They give respect for creature that arent neccesaryily actively taught by all churchs. I believe in Purgatory, Heaven, Hell, the Holy Trinity, the praying to Mary and saints(along with God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit). And i think Muhammed is worthy of the term blessed or saint. And I hold all people to be equal except I hold some races better than others at some things. I dont smoke or do anything that might harm my body. I do have the occasional alcholic beverage however but nothing extreme or dangerous or worthy of the term DRUNK. I teach others about Catholism because there are terrible rumors of my religion and I try to dispell rumors that i know are wrong of Islam and Buddism and Hinduism because people are ignorant and dont respect others and their beliefs and I know how they feel because I was one out of 5 catholics at my school of 600ish students. But most importantly I do my best to live a good life. I believe by doing my best to help and not hurt others, nature, and myself I am living a good life. I believe it is up to us to save the planet and morbidly obese people.

I have no real religion. I worship my Creator in my own ways. Every year I baptize myself naked in a thunderstorm. I ask for forgiveness, guidance, strength, and wisdom. I love the Earth as it should be loved by all. I plant trees, and clean up the garbage thrown out by others. I give thanks at sunrise and sunset for each day of life. My prayers are sent with the wind. I send money to charities for the ones that truly need it. Not for some guy so he can be driving a BMW while the people of his flock think that their money is going for a good cause and they drive a Pinto. I don't believe you need to be in a church to worship. And that's the extent of my religion.

I grew up in a Seventh-day Adventist household. I was definitely "brainwashed" into the common beliefs of the church, but I was lucky that my family also taught me to question things and be a critical thinker. Most of the beliefs of the church are not, in my opinion, necessary to my salvation. The most important thing I can do is be a good person because "it's the right thing to do," not because someone at church might not like what I do.

I observe religion to a point.
The bible is the Truth, gods word but mans interpretation over the centuries has watered down or re-written it in part.
Which is why I have a copy re-written from the original Greek/Hebrew/Aramaic by my grandfather ,it's as close to the original as it needs to be without King James/The Vatican/whoever's added angle.
Proving you can live an ethical, moral & principled life without organised religion.

For me, God is an abosolute entity -- like an absolute number, in a way. Just is.

We as humans need put God in a box we are comfortable with, so we call God, "God" or "Jehovah" or "Yahweh" or "Allah" or "Great Spirit" or "Budda" or whatever.

Humans have to have this little box for their comfort -- i truly believe God loves us all and doesn't care about our little boxes. God/Allah/Yahwey/Tree/Great Spirit/The Force knows what's in our hearts, and that's all that matters.

That's why i don't get why people argue about religion -- i mean, go with what feels right in your heart. We could all be wrong anyway! People who make up the "rules" and "sayings" in ANY religion - or non religion -- are just human beings anyway!

I do not follow a specific religion persay, but what I follow: the teachings, rituals and practices are just as much as one who follows a religion.

I am a devotee of Sri Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi known as "Amma". She is the incarnation of the Divine Mother. She says her religion is simply "Love". Love of all because we each all are the one and the same from the same one Source.

Her teachings are remarkable. I've studied spirituality and religions for 18 years, and when I discovered her, I was blown away by her wisdom, genuiness, intelligence and most of all how much Unconditional Love she has. She is a Never-Ending-River-Of-Love.

I've learnt a lot about Hinduism through her as she does talk a lot about the various Hindu concepts as they all have meaning and purpose. I started applying her teachings and the recommended practices in my life, and I have had tremendous growth spiritually since I met her a year ago. I have felt so much closer to Divine Mother (Mother aspect of God). That is what she does, she helps you bring you closer to your True Nature, your True Self.

I am enjoying learning everything from Amma. I have never been as happy as I am now! I came from a Christian background growing up. It felt a lot of "emptiness" from that religion. There was no true Unconditional Love among them. People are so out of touch with the true meaning of their religion which is Love of All. It's like people have forgotten how to truly love.

I have seen people of all religions flock to Amma to learn how to Love. I've seen Jews, Muslims, Catholics, Christians, Native Americans, Buddists, Monks/Nuns, Hindus, bikers, punkers, business people, and even atheists spend time with her. They do not go to her to convert or anything, they mostly only to learn how to truly Love because she shows by example and many come away becoming better Jews, better Hindus, better Christians, better Muslims, and so on. It is because they all recognize true Unconditional Love from Divine Mother when they see it with their own eyes.

Those who want to follow her teachings like one follows a religion would fall under the umbrella of Hinduism because it involves a lot of concepts from that religion.

My religion is Christianity and we are to follow and live by the example and words of Jesus Christ, true God and True Man. Sadly, many Catholics do not truly understand their faith and are "Cradle Catholics" born into the religion and has had some catechesis but not enough to have a deep, fulfilling, and abiding love or a deepening of their faith. Many have had however, and are true followers of Jesus Christ in their words, and deeds. Of course we all fall at times, but we can reconcile ourselves to God through the Sacrament of Penance and receive God's mercy and forgiveness and His grace to get up when we fall and keep on going. We have a shepherd here on earth, our Pope who through the Holy Spirit guides us in faith and understanding of the Truth of Jesus in today's world. To me, it is my very life, spiritually and humanly speaking as well.

All your questions are meaningless to me.
My "religion" is the relation between me and the GOD, I think of him as my father in heaven and Im in a living relation with GOD.
I dont care how others believe or worship, because I will be held liable for MY deeds and HE looks into my heart.
