If muhammad was a lunatic... wow.... he so great! He can make you become more crazy than him. And he so great coz a lunatic can be proud with the number of Muslim today. Hmm... if u r not lunatic, how many ur follower? Can bet Muhammad the lunatic ( like you said )?

At Takwiir
I do not need to swear by the orbiting (15)

stars which are visible during the night (16) and sit during the day, or by the darkening night (17)

and brightening morning, (18)

that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger (19) who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, (20)

obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust (21).

Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness (22) He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form (23) He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen (24).

The Quran is not the word of condemned satan (25).

Where then will you go? (26).

This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind) (27).

So let those who want, choose the right guidance (28) However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so (29).

No, Muhammod wasn't a lunatic and the answer to the assumptions below:

1. Who would listen to a person who couldnt read or write.
The greatest of leaders weren't good at reading. They were good at people skills. The man on his own, conquered half of the world. Now, tell me something - isn't that called leadership. Try getting 100 mates together, on time, marching with obedience of one mission. Not a chance.

The reasons he couldn't read and write is also an amazing answer to idoits who say, "he wrote the Holy Qur'an." Think it this way.

2. He also married a 12 year old girl when he 40.
Look back in USA history and also British history. It was the norm to marry young. I know in USA the norm years ago was marrying woman at age of 12.

What is crazy is girls getting pregant nowadays at the age of 12, 14, 16 years old.

3. He also killed people who didn't believe his religion.
What would you do, when you're asleep, when they come to kill you? What would you do when the enemy went and tied a Muslim woman pregnant, tied her up in front of people and speared her belly and killed her and the baby?

See what I mean. You don't know what you're talking about. So how about USA bombing Iraq? How about cursaders leaving their home and go to another country to kill others of a different religion. So that's out, isn't it.

4. His daughter also became a great Catholic.
Again....a lie. Where you got this from? A debate while playing poker.

Without facts if you belived that person then you just made your self look lunatic.

Why I say that because the great historians have said this about Muhammed (Peace be upon him)

"He must be called the Savior of Humanity. I believe that if a man like him were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems in a way that would bring it much needed peace and happiness."
GEORGE BERNARD SHAW, The Genuine Islam, Singapore, Vol. 1, No. 8, 1936

"Philosopher, orator, apostle, legislator, warrior, conqueror of ideas, restorer of rational dogmas, of a cult without images, the founder of twenty terrestrial empires and of one spiritual empire, that is MUHAMMAD. As regards all the standards by which Human Greatness may be measured, we may well ask, IS THERE ANY MAN GREATER THAN HE?"
LAMARTINE, HISTOIRE DE LA TURQUIE, Paris, 1854, Vol. II, pp 276-277

In his book "100 -A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History. Revised and Updated for the Nineties"...
"My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels."
M.H. Hart, THE 100: A RANKING OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSONS IN HISTORY, New York, 1978, p. 33

Thanks for Your Question :)
BUT hear what the noble west christian people say about Him peace be upon him

Lamartine (the famous historian in l’histoire de la
turkie,1854,Vol II p.276)
says : “If greatness of purpose,
smallness of means and
outstanding results are the
three criteria of human
genius, who could dare to
compare any great man in
modern history with
Muhammad.”

Bernard Shaw: ( The genuine Islam, vol I p. 8)
“I believe that if a man like him
were to assume the leadership
of the modern world he would
succeed in solving its problems
in a way that would bring to
this world much needed peace
and happiness.”

Mahatma Ghandi
I became more than convinced
that it was not the sword that won
a place for Islam in those days in
the scheme of life. It was the rigid
simplicity, the utter selfeffacement
of the Prophet, the
scrupulous regard for his pledges,
his intense devotion to this
friends and followers, his
intrepidity, his fearlessness, his
absolute trust in God and in his
own mission.

Wolfgang Goethe, the most famous European poet
"He is a prophet and not a
poet and therefore his
Koran is to be seen as a
divine law and not as a
book of a human being,
made for education or
entertainment."

stlichen Divan, WA I, 7, 32)

I do not know mohammed nor anything about him so I have to say I don't know. But, as a Christian I can tell you that many in His time considered Jesus a lunatic so just people saying so does not make it a fact and I doubt it would in Mohammed's case either. Some will agree, some will not.

Mohomed? Are you kidding? Since you don't even know how to spell his name, it's safe to assume you are fairly ignorant about what you're asking. Instead of public humiliation, next time you should research Muhammad on Wikipedia.

It depends on what you mean by lunatic. I believe that he knew exactly what he was doing. I f he was a lunatic, then maybe Joseph Smith (founder of the LDS) and Anton LeVey (founder of the Church of Satan) were too. No offense intended to anyone here, just trying to make a point.

mohomed is dead and will always be dead. to me, that only gives us the option that he is a lunatic. there is alot of historical evidence that Jesus rose from the dead, just like he said he would.
