You can go to walmart's website, or goportraits.com will take you directly there. If you get just the advertised package, that is the actual price. (Other than sales tax.) Extras you can get individually, but they usually tell you it's cheaper to go with a package. For example, you may choose a package that consists of 10 sheets of pictures, and pay one price, and choose which sizes of which pictures and how many of them you would like. It's a bit confusing sometimes, but also you may not be able to get a picture of each pose in a package. Sometimes from what I have experienced, smaller packages only allow you to choose from a certain number of poses. Just tell the photographer what you would like, and they can tell you what is do-able or not, and how you can work it.

Usually the first package at wal mart is under 10 dollars and you have to get that. Its around 35 pictures of the same pose. Then you can choose a package starting around 75 dollars and you get to make a combo of 4 poses.

It's different from store to store. A lot of times in the sunday newspaper, you'll find coupons for pictures. As for the package, ask how many poses you'll get. It's usually one or two. When you check the picture on their monitor before it's saved, make sure you REALLY like it. Don't settle. You're going to have this picture for a long time.
The place they make their real money is when they talk you into buying MORE pictures. Don't fall for it. Stick with the ones in the package! You can always find another coupon and go again!
Olan Mills used to hate me when I'd come in. I never bought any extra pictures and when they were showing my the proofs, I'd sit there and flip over the ones that I'd never consider. I'd narrow it down until I was left with the 'best' picture. I was out the door in less than 5 minutes! No time for high-pressure sales!

Be careful, they trick you. They get you in there with an ad or coupon and don't tell u in that ad that it only includes certain things like you must use the first picture taken even though they take 10 of them and u really love picture #6. Then you have to spend another $30 or so. Then there is the sitting fee, which is mentioned in small print, per person. Do your research, but be prepared to spend at least $50 on a decent package of the picture you want.

they don't usually tell you this but you buy the regular package for less than ten dollars and of course they take 6 other poses. When your package comes in, it comes with 2- 3 1/2 x 5s of the extra poses, which you can purchase for around 20 bucks plus tax. It's called the sample.

I just checked on this myself last week. The regular package runs about $7.50 I think, tax and all. Its a big package. To get additional poses its about $20 per sheet. They offer packages from $40 to $250

Totally depends on where you go. Most places do offer packages and package prices range from about $7/sheet to much pricier. Quality varies widely too so ask around to see who's good in your area. Some places to think about - Target, Sears, Penney's, Kiddie Kandids (usually inside Babies R Us), Picture People and Portrait Innovations. I've had really good luck with PI and KK.

I always get their special which is only of the first pose, but I have them take extra poses. I pay for the special and get the rest on disk so that I have all her poses plus I can print them myself. It's cheaper and you get all the poses.
