I really do care about him, but i don't know how to tell him how i feel about him, he's really good with my son and my son really likes him, he treats me like a lady, text message me and asks how my day at work is going, etc. I think things are going good, we've been talking/together for about 6 mos. What should i do? I don't want him to think that i'm in love with him.

Try this on for size: "I really care about you. You're good with my son, and you're so thoughtful and kind around me. It's good to have a friend like you."

Find out what he likes. Take some pain to get him the smallest and most trivial of those things. Will do the trick.
