My 15 year old daughter is dealing with major depression but won't take medication, do you have any other suggestions that might help her?

Take it from someone who knows first hand, dealing with depression from your childhood only becomes much worse as you get older and have more problems dealing with life.

Has your daughter been to see a counselor or therapist or have ever seen a psychologist? Sometimes by talking out your problems helps too. But in order for lasting help she will have to see a psychiatrist for medications. With the combination of medicines and therapy, your daughter in time will feel much better about herself and will re-learn how to react more positively towards bad and uncomfortable situations and feelings.

I wish the best of luck to you and your daughter! I hope she feels better soon!

I'm as clueless as you my sister suffers from severe depression and she refuses to take medication, but take comfort in the fact you're not alone.
