I've answered this question so many times. You need to realize that you're on an international site. I think they could possibly be using babblefish for translation (or something similar). If you type a sentence from English to Spanish translation, the you type it from Spanish to English again (exactly the same) - it will not be the same words exactly back to English. Computer translations are not "perfect." I don't know where you live but you will be looking at questions an answers from all over. There are also a lot of young kids on here too - schools out, remember? Don't judge until you know what is going on for real. As far as typos - we all make them and a lot of us are at work and rushing.......so sh** happens. We're not all perfect either.

Main streaming public education slaughtered our youths ability to learn at their predetermined speed. No child left behind rubbed it in our faces.

The very thought that a child can learn and grasp complex concepts at the same speed as every other child in a class room is ridiculous. While most will learn at a "normal" rate, there are still those who learn much faster, or much slower. Supposedly this was going to save us tax money by creating larger classes, and less teachers, instead we have ended up with two generations who cant read or write or get functional jobs to pay for our social security.

This is what happens when Washington tries to simplify things for the sake of convenience, instead of providing a service for our young people that they all can benefit from.

Yes as a matter of fact we do. But while on line most younger people tend to be lazy with their typing and think they are not at school so they should not have to use properly spelled and complete sentences i admit i use terms also such as: lol, brb, ttyl, and omg. Other than things like that i think the bad grammer and English are just that BAD even gross looking. But that is my answer to your question.

I wonder the same thing myself. I've been out of public school for 7 years now, but reading and writing are still the best skills I've ever learned. (Second most valuable would probably be computer skills.) These kids are going to HAVE TO learn to communicate with a degree of sophisitication if they want to go to college or even get a job at McDonalds. You still have to fill out that application, right? You kids needs to start paying attention in school. I suspect most of them use this 'chatspeak' because they think it's cool. By and large, it just creates confusion because people can't understand them.

Your question should be constructed as follows:

How come the grammer here is so bad?

tut tut

Please try to construct your future questions in a grammatically correct manner.

p.s. have retained your mistake, not sure it was intentional

Part of the problem is that they use "text message" abbreviations. I'm afraid people will start to think that's Real Spelling. Another problem is that some people are in such a hurry to shoot their questions and answers through that they don't bother to read it back to themselves.

I think that is a great question, but it's spelled 'grammar' not 'grammer'.

I learned in school, but it does seem many on Yahoo! Answers have not. That disappoints me.
