I take synthroid first thing in the morning (that's the only prescription I'm on) and I take an iron tablet when I get home from work around 5 because iron counteracts the synthroid. I just started taking a multivitamin. Should I take it the same time as I take the iron?

I have been told by my doc that you should take vitamins at bedtime. This is because your body can absorb it overnight. If you take it early in the day, the next time you go to the toilet, you pee it straight out. Ever noticed that your urine is darker after taking vitamins? this is the vitamin being flushed down the toilet. Take it before bed so you can get the benefit of taking it.

Multivitamins have iron in them, so you'd be better off taking them in the evening so they don't counteract your synthroid. Ask your local pharmacist though, they would know for sure.

I would take it first thing in the morning or at least the same time daily.

Take one in the morning with breakfast.

It doesn't really make a difference. But, since you need to make a habit of it...take it with your iron tablets in the evening.

You should take the multi in the morning because if you take it later it will be hard for you to get to sleep.

Don't take it. Eat the right foods and get your vitamins naturally.
