Anyone taken a creative writing class or two ? Did you get a lot out of it ? Is it worth it ?

I want to be a writer and need to know how to get started...any advice would be sooooo appreciated !

I took a creative writing class in high school as an elective and I really enjoyed it. They teach you a lot of different techniques that would probably be helpful to you if you want to establish a career as a writer. I think that it was very worth-while and i would definitely take that class again if i had the chance. Not only was i surrounded with people who were so creative and willing to help me out in any way that they could, i made many new friends. We connected well because we all had the same interest in literature. Good luck in your ventures!
