well, as the story goes, he did this in order to pay for your sins

im not altogether sure i've ever understood that story very much though

im sort of the mindset that ok jesus was preaching and gaining a large following, this upset political leaders of the day and they started to feel that an uprising or a shift in power was about to happen

christ, as he preached in the gospels "if a man hits you on one cheek, let him hit you on the other" was a pacifist and did not confront physical violence back with violence

instead, he allowed them to kill him in order to make a point, the point being that 1. he was not going to cave to political pressure and shut up and 2. that he was fulfilling a divine plan of his fathers in order to meet his father's criteria of how things are to be resolved

Because it was God's plan for Him and if didn't then we would all be going to hell and there would be no way to get to Heaven, which is why Jesus let those ppl crucify Him.

Jesus knew it was the only way to redeem mankind from sin. During His ministry He told His followers that He would be delivered up to His enemies and be put to death, but He also told them that He would be raised up from death. Jesus was crucified right before the Jewish Passover, which was set aside for the atonement of their sin by a spotless lamb offering. The offering couldn't have any defect at all. However the animal sacrifice could only atone for their sins for that year, their sins could never be completely removed. Jesus knew He was the only way to remove the burden and yoke of sin from us once and for all, that is why He allowed Himself to be crucified. Jesus become the worlds spotless (sinless) Lamb offering, to fulfill the law that condemn us, in order to free us from eternal separation from God. However it is a gift and is not forced on any one, we can choose to receive or reject His gift of salvation.

In short Jesus died to pay our sin debt!

The Creator of our universe is perfect. He created us to be perfect as well and endowed us with a free will to make choices in life. However, mankind rejected the perfection of God to follow our own ways. Our disobedience brought sin and death into the world. We were created to live in perfection, and live for all eternity -- instead we struggle with our sinful nature, and know that our days on this planet are numbered. Our sin, results in the greatest enemy of all: death.

From the beginning, God promised that He would not leave us without hope in this world. Throughout the Bible's Old Testament, it was prophesied that there would come one who would defeat the power of sin and death. Those prophecies were fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Jesus lived the perfect life that we were unable to live...He paid the punishment that our sins deserved by His death on the cross. What human has power over life and death? We all know that we have no power or control over death. Jesus claimed that He had power over death. He claimed that He would die and be raised to back to life. He claimed that He was the Son of God. Jesus allowed the people to crucify Him because that was God's plan for the redemption of our sins.

Jesus offers you a way to know the Father, and He offers you forgiveness for every mistake you make in life. You can graciously accept His gift, or you can simply reject Him.

Is this all logical? Yes and no. If you study the Bible's message it is very logical, and the books fit together in a unified whole...they all bear witness to the fact that Christ came to this world to conquer sin and death. While there is a beauty and logic to God's plan of saving us from sin & death, it can also seem extremely illogical from our limited perspective. Faith is what makes the illogical become perfectly logical. Faith makes that which seems crazy in the eyes of the world, the most sane and rational option of all: that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and our Savior from sin and death.

The Christian faith is the perfect fulfillment of OT prophecy. From the symbolism of Jewish ceremonial law, to a multitude of prophecies (such as Isaiah 53 & Psalm 22), they all pointed to Christ's sufering, death & resurrection.

He did it because he knew that it was his father's will. God knew that Jesus had to make the ultimate sacrifice in order for us to be relieved of our sins. He could've easily removed himself from the cross if he wanted to, but he knew that God's plan is best. God even had to look away from Jesus because the sin of the world was placed on his shoulders and God could not look upon that sin. It's a joyful thing though, because we know that we are allowed into Heaven eventhough we are sinful and it's all because Jesus made that sacrifuce out of love for us.

Because is was Prophecy. The Bible says the Penalty for Sin IS DEATH. SO, what Jesus did was take the place for those who want Him too. Here you an example; Say you go to Court and the Judge say; "If you not pay this fine of $1,000 today, I will put you in Prison"! But, you not have $1,000. So, Me, being the great guy that I am, says; "I will pay this for her"! Then YOU have a choice to make, do you go to prison, or, let me pay your fine? The choice is yours to make, just like it is with Jesus taking our place for Sin. Hope this helps.

The fact is, before man was created, the Godhead formulated a plan of redemption should man sin (actually, they knew he would sin; thus the plan). The plan called for one of them to die so that man could live. Jesus volunteered to be the one. People may argue that the Jews killed Jesus. While that is true, the fact remains that He had to die to redeem man from sin. Without His death, no one would be able to be restored to sinlessness and live with Him forever.

Thanks For your Question :)

Well according to Islam He didn't allow that to happen or in other words God didn't allow that to happen

It is said in the Quraan : And because of their saying (in boast), "We killed Messiah 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allah," - but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of 'Iesa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man), and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not [i.e. 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)
But Allah raised him ['Iesa (Jesus)] up (with his body and soul) unto Himself (and he is in the heavens). And Allah is Ever AllPowerful, AllWise.
And there is none of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), but must believe in him ['Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), as only a Messenger of Allah and a human being], before his ['Iesa (Jesus) or a Jew's or a Christian's] death (at the time of the appearance of the angel of death). And on the Day of Resurrection, he ['Iesa (Jesus)] will be a witness against them.

I think that's makes much more sense :) . that's what I believe in!

Because that's what the prophecy was. He knew that he was going to die ahead of time, and then rise on the third day. He died for our sins, so we may gain everlasting life.

Ephesians 1:7 By means of him we have the release by ransom through the blood of that one, yes, the forgiveness of [our] trespasses, according to the riches of his undeserved kindness.
