Any relationship could backfire on you...Neighbor or no neighbor...The possibility of it backfiring could definately be increased if it's a neighbor. I mean, if it doesn't work out, it could be sorta hard with that person living in close proximity to you...Just be careful, and try to come to some type of agreement as to what's gonna happen if or when you guys don't work out...

As long as he is single and doesn't have issues it should not backfire. I would take it slow in a friendly way and follow the vibes to see where it leads. That way if it does not work out, you will still be friends and neighbors.

I've dated two of my neighbors throughout the years. Neither relationship worked out for various reasons. Not saying that it couldn't, but everyone tends to know your business and its worse when they know both sides. You know how neighbors/neighhborhoods can be.

it could backfire because if it doesn't work out and you hate that person you will regret being so close and having to see them often

if you like him then go out with him. it might turn out to a good relationship. if it doesn't work out. then when you see him act like he's not even there.
