Be assertive from the get go, let them know how you feel and then move on. Don't pine over them or worry about what is going on in their head...Be yourself. If the other person is interested, let them ask you out, if they're not...no skin off your back. Just please, avoid the friend zone.

depends on how well you know them ask them if they want to go out for a bite to eat and then gently say some hints if they pick up on it then they will tell you if not then just come out with it and tell good luck

first become good friends, i just asked out a guy i liked and then he hated me and still does i regret doing that so much! get to know who you like and once you two are good friends say something like "listen, i think your cute and i was wondering if you would wanna go out sometime? maybe a movie?"
take it easy, rushing in is a mistake!

if your a girl and never met the person introduce yourself and leave it like that then wait you dont want to seem despret or to forward..........if your a guy you shouldnt any problem if you do just be your self and ask her if she would like to go out and eat..

just be yourself and that person will like you for you. they probaly feel the same way you do but they are shy as well. so some has to make the first move and i guess it will be you. :)
