I found Jersey blue's answer refreshing. I find if it can work correctly, having a larger family of those that get along a plus.
Having lived communaly for quite a while it actually is good to have a compliment of those that can get along and care for eachother. a good mix can actually make life easier for all.
I do believe it isnt for everyone. it is not all sexual but a means of making a small community that is almost tribal.
I do not think the way portrayed in 'big love' is the rule though in utah, it is the exception. I highly recommend 'under the banner of heaven' for people think this is what it really is like (in the majority of utah family systems).

i envy the courage that people have to be in a monogamous relationship, but yet i'm torn to think that sometimes it would just be better to think in the mindset that if i let him have what he wants that it might be fun. i'm not in a relationship currently, but i look at the family on Big Love and think, well... all families have their trouble, but could this really be wrong. not all polygamists are like the people on the commuine. not all are marrying off 14 year olds to old men.

I dont know....the polygamist thing seems cool for sexual purposes but dealing with the day to day would drive me nuts so I say monogamous.

Monogamous! I value myself too much to let a guy think he can have me when he wants, and take others when he feels like it. There are requirements to be with me, and loyalty and fidelity are at the top of the list. You know men aren't usually secure enough to let women do that, no double standards.

Monogamous....a women completes me only if I truly understand who she is and can relate to her needs and desires...where as in Polygamy I don't think I could be complete because your needs are not full filled by another, it may be a group effort, but not having that bond between two persons, not just satisfying your needs but theirs too, just makes me inadequate...no way can have as strong a bond with many as I could with only one.
