Does a large following dictate a religion? A similar question was asked very recently, forgive the repetition.

do you mean if many believe something does that make it a religion?
i'll answer that question because i'm not sure what it is you're looking for.
simply, no. i and many others believe that evolution occurred. that doesn't make it a religion. also, just because a religion has a lot of followers doesn't make it moral or true.

It all depends on how you want to look at it. If from a personal perspective you don't want to acknowledge it, then hey, that's great, but I think once governments acknowledge/recognize a following as a religion, then it's a religion, not before.
