Hey I remember that I once wondered this too.
It is possible if it is a movie of a real ceremony, like with the king or england and Princes DI, but never in a fictional movie made for drama.
To get married you must have a legally issued marriage license by a government authority. also the person giving the oath or performing the ceremony must be a priest or pastor or notary public( in florida) or ship captain, or judge, or somebody that authorized to do the ceremony.
alos the two people must INTEND to get married of their own free will and neither can already be married to anyone else.
so probably not unless all these requirements are met.

But is is a Good Idea. it has never been done before.
suppose brad pit and angelina jolie had done a wedding ceremony in their movie Mr and Mrs Smith and then really did it at the time. that would be cool and the whole world would get to see them married and not disturb their privacy. Then their baby would not be a bastard as he is now.
(tjis is not a moral judgment, just a legal fact)
IF they announced that the ceremony in their upcoming movie was to be a REAL one, it owuld duble the ticket sales. a good PR idea. you should consider public relations agent as a career.

This was a great question !

The person who preforms the marriage must be Ordain. Meaning, being appointed to preform the marriage officially, such as priest, minister, rabbi, shak, etc. without that it is not a marriage. In addition, the actors are not being themselves. When let's take for example Angelina J. and Brad Pitt got married in the movies, they are not married in reality, since those in the movie were not Angelina nor Brad.

Yet, for those who jump on judging you harshly....

Some in the Middle East saw it was must for one married couples actors who got divorce during filming a movie, were considered divorce for real!

Good Question.

No, they are playing a character, and that character is getting married. They can not be married in real life by doing it in movie or tv. They are not using their real names, have not gotten the blood tests or paperwork needed for marriage. It's just fake, make believe, and just for fun.

You are an idiot - of course they are really married. Then they have to go through a special actor/actress divorce and split the money they made on the movie.

The answer is NO. Everything you in a movie is an act. Just like killing in movie doesn't make you a criminal, or being killed in it doesn't make dead in real life, it is totally the same in marrying in movie.

No. Movie & TV weddings are face. Besides, without a license, I'm pretty sure the marriage isn't valid.

No... it is a movie... there was this one case where the actor playing the justice of the peace was a REAL justice of the peace in real life and the actors had to get annulled in real life.

Movies are fake. Not real, so a movie marriage is fake unless it is a reality movie.
