i THINK their heart is in right place... but they just can't seem to see outside of their own belief system... they, like other religions, believe their way is the ONLY true way to eternal peace. my problem with all organized religion is part two of your question... they have always been willing to fight, and turn away those in need if their beliefs were not "right". i thought the bible said no one should judge another.... that is suppose to be gods job (that's what the bible says). hypocrits... that is what will end up distroying religion as a whole. some of us have just heard them preaching it's their way or it's hell for to long. i just strive to be a good person EVERYDAY. i don't need the bible's promise of damnation or salvation to make me a good person.

First of all I'm a huge follower of the Trinity of the God head and that includes Jesus Christ for some of you wwo have a problem with Jesus Christ.
Second of all Christians are not trying to build a society. When you are a Christian you don't take prophases from the Bible but rather love, peace, mercy, kindness and so forth are part and parcel of Christianity. We don't imitate what was written in the Bible the only one we imitate is Jesus Christ so we can walk this earth the way He walked it Love the others the way He loves everybody in this world. If anything, Christians try to do good in this world.
Length? We will go to extreme lengths until everyone has recived (those who want to of course) the love of Jesus Christ just the way He intended it to happen.
It's people like you that are actually breaking up society and then in the end blaming the Christians. Why not blame those that killing themselves apparently for their country, why not blame those that are creating wars, why not blame those that don't have any moral values, why not blame those that are killing and raping and so on?

i am a Christian, and i speak for my local church:
What type of society? a society that has an awareness of the reality of Jesus Christ and a knowledge that they have the choice to say yes or no to Him. A society that is not seeing there youth deteriorate to destruction due to the media raising them and establishing there morals and values system, but full of youth that have purpose and see that they are special and can make a difference in this world for the people of there community and far far beyond. A society that does not see injustice and keep on walking, but goes the extra mile to see justice prevails, a society that helps those in need, those who has less than them. instead of going down the shop and spending $6 on a bigmac meal, passing by a hungry bum, will give that meal to the bum, and go home and cook. people who think about others, not just themselves. a society, that when bad things happen, they dont say "how sad" and forget it, but think, "what can I do to help?" a society that accepts each other for who they are, and if they have different beliefs, can still respect there neighbour. A society that uses there free will to encourage someone else, to first judge themselves before they judge others.
an unselfish society full of joy and love for one another.
i could go on and on and on, but i think u get it....
what lengths? for all this ^ ?
.... pretty lengthy lengths.
none of them bad.

you're a little confused. Christians don't "take" prophesy from the bible to make them a reality. Prophesy is part of the inspired word of God, written long ago, by men who were inspired by God.
Prophesy, as well as all other messages in the Bible are interpreted by everyday people who are in tune with Gods' will. Some people are more in tune (mature Christians) with Gods' plan for us, via the Bible, and others are "new" Christians - learning and leaning on God for His word revealed to them as they become mature Christians.
It is a fact, that in revelations, there are prophesies of the future, and some is not so pleasant as "end times" approach. We as Christians do not know when this will happen. Jesus even said: "only my Father knows".
But we as Christians are in tune to the prophesies foretold, and strive to live according to His will, till we meet Him in the air with other true believers.
I urge you to get a copy of the Bible written in eady to understand terms - there is a paperback out called "the Story", and one called "the Book" . Read in the gospels firstly, ask God to direct you, and ask good mature Christians to help you along the way!
Best wishes!
PS: by the way, the society you propose in your question is not being "built" so much as extended: Christians want all people to experience the hope and love that God offers. It can be life changing!!

A Christian is a follower of Christ.
He set the example and we are meant to follow that example not change the world.
When one buys a car we are given a manual it gives us a set of instructions for the running and the up keep of the car.
The Bible is our instruction book it teaches us how to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
We cannot bring phrophecies alive they will come into fruition in God's timing which many have already done.

I believe Christians want to bring this country back to the bible principles it was founded on. There was less crime, more students finishing school and you didn't even have to lock your doors at night, before all the liberal changes and taking God out of schools. The original schools were Christian schools and there was little more than gum chewing as an infraction in the schools.

Wait a minute. Real Christians are about taking care of widows and the fatherless. Building Christ up and not man. Giving life and food to others. Loving others as ourselves. Giving hope to the hopeless. Being Godly in the presents of the ungodly.

Christians (well good ones, not the evil ones) are trying to build a world of love, peace, and tolerance. Any good Christian would not work towards creating the prophecies because they know in due time that God will work all things together in order for the prophecies to come on their own.

Unfortunately, you have chosen to concentrate on a small minority of christians who have extreme views and a political agenda that meets those views.
The vast majority of christians in the U.S. and abroad, are concerned with showing the light of christ to others through deeds, evangelism and compassion. There are a few however, who've ignored Jesus's words when he said "give unto God's what is God's, and give unto Cesear what is Cesear's".
For those of you out there with a political agenda, you've been comanded to stay out of that realm. If you want to change politics, you need to do it by winning the hearts of voters who elect politicians.
As a christian, I'm a firm believer in separation of church and state. Let us leave religon where it belongs, in the private hearts of the practitioners of the religon.

I wish Christians would build the society that Jesus wanted and intended to create. A spiritual(, worldwide) relationship between people to keep friendship and piece. Instead the keepers of christianity over the years in time have misused their power in different ways according to what they wanted to achieve. They have made unnatural and illogical rules for the commoners to follow, they have created hell and sin. Everything to stay in power. They have haunted and killed in the name of Jesus. Hm, isnt it weird: people are poor all over the world - and the roof of St. Paul cathedral in Rome is covered with 17 000 kg gold.

Frankly, it scares me. With a born again Christian in office, its obvious that non Abrahamic religions get overlooked and persecuted. After all. Bush said that he didn't think the miliary should allow Wiccans to worship on military bases.
I think, as the rise of pagan religions is returning, CHristians will get more frustrated with us and start to get violent. THere have already been cases of violence in recent times like a shoot out in Tennessee and several lynchings.
I fear for my life and the life of my family because they feel no remorse and see no reason. The elitest attitude put forth by so many Christian preachers is one of elitism and super humanism. Making us more like animals than humans. THey put all their faith in a misguided preacher who asks people to be assassinated and further breaks the bonds between our cultures. This has to be stopped.
