I had this same problem and ended up seeing a specialist. It seems it is due to stress, even when you aren't really stressing out about anything. I know the feeling well, but have come to realise that that is all it is and it soon goes away. Meditation is good, and so is getting away from it all and just shutting down for half an hour or so. Buy a relaxation cd and see what a difference it can make. Good luck.

It's globus hystericus , You're stressing out over work, see a psychologist or at least talk to someone about your problems.

I've had the same problem, and it got to the point where I couldn't talk or swallow without gagging or feeling my throat was swelling shut.

It may resolve itself when your level of stress decreases, but don't suffer, see a doctor.
