Why? Cats are scavengers. If you feed them on fresh salmon, they will still eat discarded hamburgers & chips from the garbage.

I have suffered from this problem so I know exactly where you are coming from. For a long time I stuggled so eventually I started making my own. Please feel free to use my recipe:

250 gms chopped tomatoes
100 gms chopped oinion
half clove of garlic
500 gms rice or potatoe
1 good quality organic cat

Skin cat, fry tomatoes, onion and garlic. Mince cat (unless you prefer 'off the bone' in which case roasted is very pleasant). Add cat mince to tomatoes etc and simmer gently for about 40 mins. Serve warm on a bed of rice for Catatooee or cover in mash for a lovely Cat Pie.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm yummy

(I am of course joking ..... it would be ridiculous to serve organic cat with rice!!!!)

I'm not sure if these brands are available in London, but here are some food companies that have superior products, not all are organic, but these are phenomenal pet food manufacturers. You may contact them to find out if they distribute their products in England.

Felidae http://www.canidae.com/
Natural Balancehttp://www.naturalbalanceinc.com/
Newman's Own Organics (pet product line)
Natura Pet Products (Innova, California Natural, Karma Organic line) http://www.naturapet.com
Castor & Pollux Pet Works (Organix line) http://www.naturalbalanceinc.com/

A company in the US that specializes in these premium pet foods is http://www.waggintails.com. Maybe they will ship to England. Good luck.

Buy a few fresh rabbits if you get that sort of thing in the city or some chicken.
Our cats love the rabbit and it's really good for them.

Do web searches and make your own. It isn't that expensive depending on the recipe. My cats liked tuna and Parmesan. I mixed it with flour and water and some other stuff. Baked it and broke it up. Just check it out and see what you can do with it.
