males tend to be more dominant than females.german sheperds are smart and loyal.easily trainable, they can handle situations with panache.my german sheperd is two years old and he is confident enough to take on a bear

german sheperds and border collies are considered to be the most intelligent of all breed's of dogs.they usually form a special bond with their owners, left alone they will suffer from separation anxiety.they are very protective, will defend what is dear to them to death.

the only thing you have to make sure while picking a german sheperd is to buy from a reputable breeder.poor breeding has resulted in health problems and temperamental abnormalities in german sheperds.

i am a fan of these breed of dogs and wonder why people go for other breeds.the only probem i find with german sheperds is that they constantly shed.but they are so good that their pros overshadows their cons.so go for it.

hail german sheperds

I couldn't tell you the difference in maneurism as far as the sex of the dog goes, but I can tell you I had a female (white) for 12 years, and she's the best dog I've ever had/encountered. She was not only well behaved, she was extremely smart, and a wonderful family pet as well. She was very protective, but not aggressive at all. When a stranger came around, she was leary about them, but never bit anyone. German Shepards are very good pets to have, it's all in how you raise them.

Mine was once 800 greenbacks. Purebred male. I believe the women of the muddle had been 850. I dont understand why all of you're giving a thumbs down, I responded his query. Some persons wish purebreds for breeding or quite simply since they wish a purebred, simply since I could not uncover a puppy on the pound that was once historic does not make me mistaken. Its relatively traumatic how persons push going to the SPCA no longer knowing no longer every person wishes a puppy that's historic and undoubtedly abused. Yes its well to undertake, but if I have a small youngster I dont wish a puppy that's much more likely to show because of abuse ago.

simple i got a female gsd over a male is size, the girls are generally 10 - 15lbs smaller than the males. may not sound like much, but it adds up fast. also females don't spray as much as males and the peeing in the house stopped after only 3 weeks of living with me.

As in any dog, males are more aggressive but if you get him fixed he will calm a little. Females are more calm if fixed. Males of course are controlled by their hormones until then, though. I personally have two females and one male (dachshunds). Although our boy is a sweetie, I would prefer females. Our girls have such cute personalities!

i raise dobermans, and i have the people pick the dog that best suits their personality.. you want the puppy that comes to you and your family..do not take the one that seems skittish if you..also do not take the one that seems to be aggressive..bark at you..i always tell people you might have intentions on getting a female, but if a male comes to you and and isn't scared take him... you do not want one that is scared of loud noises either cause they will be scared of everything..hope this works for you..good luck.

I agree with uniquedobe completely. But would like to add that the only real difference is the time you plan to spend cleaning up.A female in heat can be quite messy.
