I recommend a 100% boar bristle brush. Because boar bristles are made out of hair, they don't damage your hair or cause breakage. Hair can't damage hair. A boar bristle brush will also help distribute oil from your roots to the rest of your hair, which will add shine and moisture. A quality boar bristle brush will have slightly stiff bristles, that are tipped with white. Surprisingly, I bought a decent Conair boar bristle brush. :)

A brush with animal bristles is the best. Preferably not to stiff of one.

One made of natural bristles. Anything else will be too hard on your hair. The natural bristles will distribute the oil in your hair more evenly.
